ALEX RESTAURANT DIRECTOR AWFUL
(If you a guest at the hostel please do not go to this restaurant, expensive food and drinks which are not worthy, plus services were hostile)
My experience at the café restaurant was absolutely awful, largely because of the director, Alex, who was super aggressive and unprofessional. I wasn’t allowed to bring my own food into the café, but I saw other guests doing the same without any issues. When I asked about it, Alex pointed to a tiny card in French with some “law” no one could possibly notice, and his attitude was completely rude. He became so aggressive that it felt like he was almost ready to PHYSICALLY confront me. I was shocked by how unpolite and confrontational he was.
It was a really uncomfortable and frightening experience. While the hostel was great, I would highly recommend avoiding the café restaurant altogether—it’s not worth dealing with Alex’s...
Read moreI just visited Titi Palacio and it's definitely one of these places that one will remember. It's a very interesting large multi functional space that seems actually to be very cool. There are many tables for coworking, plenty of natural light, lots of green from plants, a large bar, a dj set, and an area that I thought was a restaurant. I had a fantastic grilled cheese sandwich and coffee, and a muffin. At the time I was leaving I was told there was going to be a drag queens event later on that would include dance and of course go on till around midnight. So yes, it's a recommended place to check out because it's most likely that there can be some pleasant surprises at all times of the day (and...
Read moreThe food was fine, but the bartender is a bureaucrat. I was dining alone, so I had my tablet to watch a football game from back home in the US. I was sure to keep it out of sight because I didn’t want to be rude to other guests (obviously used earphones). The guy made me leave the bar because “they don’t allow laptops after 18:30.” Not one person in the bar would notice I was watching the game on my tablet if he didn’t draw attention to it. It is no different than half the bar being on their phones. I wasn’t working… I was just enjoying a game while eating.
I hope whatever miserable thing this guy is going through to make him act such a way ends so he can stop ruining everyone else’s time over some ridiculous rule. The rule arguably doesn’t apply anyways, because it’s not a laptop, it’s a cellular tablet no different...
