The place has very big walls so the mobile signal is absent and they don't have WiFi . surely a minus. I ordered an alsazian red wine advised by the "wine expert" and it was undoubtedly acid. she agreed and offered to decant the wine. it's a label from 2021 so it was very strange for me to need this. they didn't offer to change the bottle, instead they underlined that o would have paid the expansive bottle of I refused to drink. a very bad attitude for a pretending high class restaurant. then I start to order food , we are a couple with a baby, and we didnt want fish food. they had only three choices as main dish but fish and we wanted one of this, plus a starter plus a selection of cheeses:Forbidden !!!!! we were obliged to order two main dishes even if we were ready to spend for wine, dessert. starter, ecc... attitude of metre was horrible, like if if it were a war to fight between restaurant and clients. we underlined many times her big experience as wine taster , like if she was on front of university exam. definitely a bad experience paid like Michelin star restaurant (136€ for two main dishes paid 38€ each, an acid red wine(36€) , a (good) starter with fois gras (that's ridiculously all) She didn't ask if, after decanting, we...

Nice food with racist waiter What a shame!

My friend recommended this place and I visited the resto with such high expectations. Although the food was okay, the whole experience was at maximum disappointing because of a very respectful waiter.

If you are an Asian and a tourist who wants to take a picture or two from time to time I recommend you DONT go there .

As I was browsing through the menu and taking some pics, the waiter came up to me and said in a very condescending manner that they don’t have WiFi even when I didn’t even ask for it.

On my way out, as I went outside for a minute to check the money left on my account(since I needed internet connection to do this), he commented to my friend saying ‘why does she even need internet? It doesn’t need internet to pay’ in a very disrespectful manner.

He seemed like a experienced waiter and I can only interpret this as a racist. I don’t think any deserves to pay 150euros for a mal-serviced dinner . There are plenty of nice and with good mannered staffs in the area. I truly recommend you don’t go there.

This restaurant has some of the finest ingredients and most skillful preparations we’ve experienced in France, yet unfortunately, it also has some of the poorest service. They genuinely showcase Brittany ingredients, employ sophisticated culinary techniques, and provide generous portions. However, the service team exudes an attitude suggesting they’d rather you weren’t there, especially if you’re a foreigner, in which case you may feel you’re significantly inconveniencing them. Saint-Malo may not be the most international tourist destination, but given the quality of their food, one would still expect more welcoming and respectful service. After all, food is meant to be the language of love. I sincerely hope they address the service issue, as it’s currently undermining their excellent...

Molto gustoso e ben equilibrato come dicevo prima. Complimenti davvero.

A good restaurant with some gastronomic dishes. I put a 3, that is not a bad mark for me, more because of the service that was pretty average and the value for money. It is not cheap but the food is good. The place is really well furnished, quiet atmosphere. Most of the dishes offer a mix of salty and fruity products but it is well balanced, so do not be afraid if you do not like in general these mixes. On top you have a Bordier butter plate to taste 8 of different ones. Sure next time, withou Covid and masks, the service will be better. So do not hesitate to try it if you are fine with the price range.

It was one of the highlights of our stay in Saint-Malo, even if we ended up really full and buttery! 😅 (Not advised if you are on a diet, for sure!) This restaurant’s menu works around the famous Bordier butter (used in a lot of Michelin-starred restaurants in France). The starters and mains are really refined and on top of your orders you get to try a selection of Bordier butters with some bread: the classic salted butter, the yuzu butter, the olive oil and lemon butter, the buckwheat butter, the fennel butter, the piment d’espelette butter... and the famous seaweed butter!!!
