Taj Mahal — Restaurant in Thonon-les-Bains

i’ll tell you the real thing here ! honestly the most overpriced restaurant compared to the portion i’ve ever seen!! and let me tell you i’ve seen alot of places ! first of all they rice! the rice came in very little portion and when i ordered another one the guy literally bring me a rice with mostly veggies and a bit pieces of rice !! like that’s a scam!! i was so shocked and very disappointed esp that im paying this much price for little portion )): and the guy who serves honestly had the baddest mode when he served kinda sucks! and everything not only the rice is small portion but even the chicken tikka masala is in a small portion , it seems like they put small portions with big prices to make u order more! like i payed a big price to get bigger portion. HOPE...

Some reviews must be fake, the food is very average but the prices are high. Waiters are so unbothered and unfriendly, almost didn’t say a word throughout the dinner. Piled a bunch of glasses on the table we didn’t need, so I asked them to be taken away, only took away the wine ones. We ended up dumping the rest of the glasses and dirty plates on a table next to us as no one ever paid attention…. Initially I wanted to order on Uber eats which I did, but my order was cancelled 30 minutes later. When I called to ask why no one who spoke English ever replied. When we went to the restaurant we ordered exact same food and there was no problem. Below...

Incroyable expérience! Incredible experience!

The staff was VERY professional, we got served the best dishes of the restaurant, fast, and what a pleasure to taste all those nice plates. Really a good place in town, would definitely recommend. Special mention to the service: it was fast, efficient and warm/welcoming. And their English was of course excellent, which made us feel home. A beautiful discovery! As I told the waiter: if you open a branch in Montreux Switzerland you’d be a superstar :)...
