Had an amazing time with The Captain and his Crew! Was really nervous about going after reading some reviews, but clearly it's just a bit pot luck because we had an amazing time! Got lucky and was sat right on the "Shoreline" waving at boats as they came past, which was a unique experience. Had a half board meal, so ordered off the set Menu. The shredded chicken salad starter was huge, and easily could have been a main. The mahi mahi fish was lovely, and both courses arrived in good time. We then had a very very long wait for the desserts, and admittedly was going to knock a Star off my rating because of it. But, turns out my boyfriend had secretly ordered a birthday cake as a surprise, and the restaurant was out of candles! The cast members had to run around loads of different resturants to find some! They apologised, gave us free drinks and sang a hearty round of Happ Birthday To You which more than made up for it! The cast were amazing, in particular Gabriel, who was very apologetic and very attentive. All in all, really was looking forward to eating here, and the food was tasty, the staff lovely and the experience of eating inside a ride was great!

The atmosphere was amazing, dark and nicely light up, felt like you where living life as a pirate, The food was amazing, we where worried as its a Caribbean restaurant we might not like the food as there no chips or anything like that so keep that in mind but we Love it, if your going for the first time do look at the menu and pick separate meals just incase you don't like one, The staff are lovely and help when then can, I love pirates and I'd definitely recommend this place but you'll need to book a table 2 months in advance otherwise your not get. There only things we found a little disappointing was the lack of alcohol cocktails, only haveing 2 on the menu but don't worry you can get a shot of rum 😉 And it didn't bother us but I can see this bothering others, the people that are on the ride that gose past while you eat tend to put there flash on when taking pictures and you get a bright flash in your face. They should have a sign saying no flash photography at the ride and pull people up for when they do. All in all, amazing place would 100% recommend

I was excited to eat here, I remember the restaurant from when I visited as a child. The atmosphere was much the same. It had that familiar musty/bromine water smell from the ride, the lights were dim but the sights and sounds are what really sells it. You can forgive the water smell because the restaurant is so well themed in keeping with the ride, the sound of rushing water, crickets chirping in the jungle, distant canon fire and moody pirate music. I don't know if it was just an off day, but we were sat down in an area where another 2-3 tables had also just sat down, meaning the waiter could not stagger his service to each table. He ended up taking every table's drinks and food orders all in one go then disappeared. We were expecting drinks to arrive within 5-10 minutes. After 15 minutes, my friend went to see if we were still being served because we didnt see a single server/waiter come near our section of the restaurant. Another ten minutes later and the drinks and first course turned up all at once. The food was cold and the drinks were diluted at the top from where the ice had melted. After first courses, the other courses were more regular and hotter. The menus leave a lot to be desired and both my companions had food envy. I ordered off the slightly more expensive menu and it made ALL the difference. The server then appeared and disappeared sporadically throughout the rest of the evening. It was fun, but I don't think I would do it again. The food is simply not worth the extortionate price tag.

The only real good thing about this is the atmosphere, the food was a mix result some were trash some where alright however for a price this high, getting an overcooked fish that is so dry or a pork so hard that you can’t chew it is just unacceptable. Above that the service is also a big mix, we were not allowed to enter the restaurant until every single one of the people in our group arrived, meaning we could not enter and order for them as they were delayed but had to wait outside until they arrived before entering. Apart from that the service was mediocre at most. Lastly I have to talk about experiences of a group sitting near us, I have no idea who they were I just know that one of them had a birthday, a birthday celebration here cost you 25€ minimum that is just robbery you should not be paying for 30 seconds of a few waiters time so they could sing you happy birthday, it is absurd to charge people for a birthday celebration in a restaurant they should be given that along with any desert for free. Above that the birthday song they sang? It had no feeling in it the waiters looked and sounded uninterested and it lasted about 10 seconds I can not believe that someone paid 25€ or 45€ and got 10 seconds of that. This was an incredibly expensive restaurant with a less than mediocre experience, would not recommend.

Captain Jack's is a great little restaurant for whole families or couples who want a good, full meal after a day of Disney adventures. Perfectly paired with the floating boats from the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the atmosphere is so on point. You can watch the riders of the Pirates ride float by, enjoy the wanted posters on the wall and even see the wrecked pirate ship from the Pirates ride. The Fish Soup starter was very tasty, and my Chicken and Rice main was so filling that I struggled to get my dessert down (Shortbread pudding). The reason I can't give a 5 is that, once again, my vegetarian partner didn't have much of a choice at all for her meals. More vegetarian and vegan options would be appreciated. My 4 star for the atmosphere is due to the darkness in the restaurant making it difficult to read the menu. A lot of people around us had to use their smartphones to read the menu. Reservations are essential, and I would recommend this towards the end of the day, as the filling meal can make even the best adventurers slow down a bit!

Oh wow where to start. Firstly the location of this restaurant. Set along side the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and has a beautiful atmosphere. You can see the restaurant from the ride and vice versa. It is so cleverly done that the ride doesn't bother you while you're eating. Secondly the menu. Such a fanstic menu and our meal was amazing. We used our magic pass with our plus meal plan and I was so impressed with what we actually got to choose from, what we got and how it tasted. Every dish was a little explosion of joy. We opted to get a shot of "shrub" to go with our pudding as suggested. Our waitress was brilliant and so friendly (only person in our trip that we wanted to tip!) We did have to wait about 10mins for our table, but the restaurant was full, the waiting area was too and our food was still of an amazing standard. We definitely would return and hope to at some point in the future. If you get the chance, definitely go!
