Hokkaido sushi — Restaurant in Torcy

Excellent value food for the price, very low restaurant price and food is authentic from my understanding.

I saw such negative reviews saying the staff is rude and stuff, but it was mostly referring to the waitress. However last night, I was served by the owner who is accommodating and professional. I wish the owner smiled a bit more but maybe it might be a part of the culture.

I saw another review saying that the workers watch over you when you eat, I can say that the place has to be security minded considering people can dine and dash (must be a very common problem here since it’s already bad enough back in Australia).

Very quiet and peaceful place to dine although some may feel uncomfortable to dine due to the security minded staff.

Stopped by Hokkaido Sushi after some shopping on a hot, sunny day was really looking forward to a good meal. The beef rice was actually really good. I had ordered the chicken version of it, but somehow ended up with a bo bun chicken dish instead. When I mentioned it, they said that’s what I ordered, which was a bit frustrating since I know I asked for the chicken rice. That mix-up aside, the avocado sushi was fresh and tasty, so at least that part was a win. Overall, the food was decent, but the order confusion and how it was handled left a bit of a sour note. We were exhausted from shopping and decided to grab a bite. The atmosphere was quite and cozy. The waitress couldn’t speak English well so there was a communication barrier. The waitress attitude wasn’t that good. The food was okayish i had better Japanese food before.
