Iâm usually not very critical in reviews, but as of right now this place has 4.9 stars and it was definitely not worth that much. Hereâs my breakdown: Food: 4 stars; Their gelato was fine. Very basic flavors (yogurt, vanilla, chocolate, pistachio), but thatâs not inherently a bad thing. The flavors were basic as well, though. Very average â nothing to write home about positively of negatively. There are definitely better options (especially for the price! I got two cups and it was over 12âŹ!) Service: 3 stars; The cashier not only didnât know English (fine, I get it, I donât expect everyone to speak English) but he also didnât understand French. Iâm traveling with friends who have lived in France all their lives, and the confusion when ordering was absurd. She would say âtwo scoops in a cupâ and he would say âtwo people want a scoop in two cups?â and the back and forth went on for minutes on end. When there was a language barrier I understood, but the time wasted and disregard for service left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). Atmosphere: 4 stars; the place is cramped when ordering (especially if there are other customers in line) but after that you can go outside. It doesnât really matter â what matters is mediocre ice cream with subpar service. Not a terrible place, but if youâre looking for really good ice cream or gelato on a hot summer day, I...
Read moreI was sightseeing in the city and I already had a heavy meal and I didn't expect myself to get ice cream. I was walking and I came across this gelato shop. It looks so new I thought it just opened like few days to weeks ago but then I was surprised to check Google Maps and saw that it has already got more than hundred reviews! Quite a small shop because most of the space is already taken up by the gelato chillers. They were so big cause there were at least like 20 flavours to choose from. Didn't take me very long to choose my usual safe flavours: pistachio and chocolate. It was drizzling a little so I decided to stay inside the shop and finish the gelato. There is a little space at the back of the shop with several tables and chairs so I sat there to finish the gelato. The gelato was pretty decent, nothing to complain about. The most interesting thing of all was that the little spoon for the gelato is actually a cookie and can be eaten after finishing the gelato. How environmental friendly is that! Worth a try, and I would say there are not many gelato shops I came across in Toulouse so visit if you are...
