MONOPRIX — Local services in Toulouse

This review is mainly about your 2 security guards that are embarrassingly bad and completely unprofessional. Incident from August 4th, 2022. Today, I had 2 items in my “basket” that I wanted to buy upstairs at the self-checkout. Two packets of spaghetti that I was told were “invendables,” or not able to be sold, coming from your shelves and aisles. First, why are you “selling” things that you don’t actually sell? I don’t understand nor do I want to know. Complete lack of logic. Secondly, I was authorized by the younger female checkout helper (employee) to leave after purchasing my other items, at the self-checkout, and receiving a receipt from said purchase. I didn’t use the gate where you must scan before leaving but she saw me purchase for all of my 5 items. Why did you in turn have me stopped before leaving the store for a check, accusing me of theft? I had 5 items, all of which were on my receipt, because I paid for all 5. Absolutely ridiculous and I’m angry. A larger supermarket serving the central part of the city, the ground floor is dedicated to clothing, beauty care products/toiletries and miscellaneous items you will also find a small bakery.

upstairs is the alimentary section of the shop, I advise you shop earlier during the day because of covid you spend upwards of 15 minutes in a line to buy 1 item during the rush hours 5-6pm.
