I realized there is a backpackers recommendation restaurants like Michigan. This place is one of the chosen by backpacking travelers. Although the food was good and on point. They call it French but do not expect a fancy French technic cooking. This place is where you wanna feel local and enjoying home cook, mom cook, auntie cook, gramma cooking style of French. I’m not French or European but that’s what I have felt. €21 for a three-course meal is a really good deal but if you have a desert place in mind or not a sweet tooth you should get the entrée and plate 2 course. Wine is also very cheap for a glass. Staffs are very friendly and kind it really feels like your at your cousins house. If you have a kind one lol

This photo is of the menu enfant. How many 4 year olds do you know who would eat this? Our son did, but we had to feed him each bite. Our food was terrible. Really tasteless, definitely came from Picard or some other frozen food superstore. Not fait maison in the least. My Oeufs en cocotte had lots of uncooked egg whites and the wine and drinks list is lacking in selection and quality. They didn’t even have a brand name of sparkling water. And no high chair for the little ones. There was a booster seat but that was more appropriate for an older kid who won’t spend all night trying to slide out of it. Our server was very nice and the price is pretty cheap.

This is a nice restaurant where you can experience the traditional french cuisine. They have a small selection of entrees, main dishes and desserts, but the ones I've tried are very nice. A nice touch is that in addition to the regular menu, there's a version of it available in English so that it is easier to order when you don't speak French. The service was good an efficient and I didn't have to wait log for my dish to arrive. Regarding the price I think it is on the cheaper side, but that without sacrificing quality. I do recommend this place id you're interested in traditional French cuisine and you don't want to shell out.

We loved this place for dinner—it was the perfect remedy for our exhaustion. The restaurant's atmosphere and service were warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The price-to-quality ratio was excellent. For just 49 euros, we enjoyed a fantastic menu: - **Toulouse casserole** (made with beef) that simply melted in the mouth - **Duck pâté**, rich and flavorful - **Grandma’s simmering dish**, featuring tender, delicious duck drumsticks - A **Tarte Tatin** so light and heavenly, I couldn’t even pause to take a photo - Plus, a **35cl bottle of wine** to round out the meal A truly wonderful dining experience!

Visited Le May with a friend with the intent of having the three-dish formule then ended up only having the entrée and a main plate because the portions were very rich! Entrée: Des oeufs cocotte du May avec roquefort. This was VERY good. Plat: Une bavette grillée sauce échalote. While I really enjoyed the bavette, the siders did not live up to my expectations. Besides the food, the price was really reasonable, the staff were nice (this was the first restaurant in Toulouse that has ever offered us a menu in English), and the place was truly authentic. Le May is truly a hidden gem.

This little place packed out. I’d say a reservation is necessary. We didn’t have one but we arrived about ten minutes before they opened so we were seated right away. By the time we left there wasn’t a table free. The price point is good. It seems like family food. Not polished but wholesome. There is only one vegetarian option on the menu. It didn’t feel very creative but it was ok. The longer I’m in southern France, I’m seeing a big gap in vegetarian options. So many good ingredients and such good skills…..it’s been a bit disappointing. But what can you do?
