Unfortunate and thoroughly disappointing dining experience..terribly let down by the service and the food...the waiter didn't have a clue what some of the chef's special is..it would be great if you can describe the chef's special in menu card..most people won't know what a jingamala is... The chicken dish which we got was literally a sugar syrup...( Infact I gave the feedback at the restaurant itself and requested to talk to the chef ( after making sure there were no customers occupying him) ..the chef never came to talk and they brought the sauce back adding some water.. phew) .. no usual accompaniments like chutney or pickle typical to Indian restaurants...had to finish my naan with some pickle I requested for after... Believe me I am not saying this because I wanted a 'authentic' Indian experience with lot of spice.. it was truly terrible..not even a apology for the service or pathetic food .the salad accompanying chicken Tikka had carrot shavings when were not clean ( check picture attached).I am even more disappointed since the previous time I visited here I had one of the best dishes in a restaurant at Toulouse.. chicken nagawala.. and to top it off they advertised as accepting visa/MasterCard but eventually they said they accept only cash ( machine not working apparently which they never bothered to say when we got in).no forthcoming bill after payment...I hope they improve.. anyway will never come back here anytime soon..this is easily one of my top 3 worst restaurant experiences in last 6 years at toulouse!! :( .
Read moreWe had dinner as 2 adults and 2 children. Final bill: €87.40 for one chicken tikka masala, one chicken tandoori, two kids’ menus, and a few drinks (canned Coke, plastic bottle of Perrier). The chicken was tasty, well-cooked, and the food overall was decent. But €87.40 is simply overpriced for this type of meal, served in a modest setting with very basic service (more like a snack bar). I later found out that most customers benefit from discounts via apps like The Fork — something that isn’t mentioned anywhere. It gives the unpleasant feeling of a “trap” price for those booking directly. To top it off, the waiter took my bank card without asking, before quickly apologizing. Food is fine, but the prices are unjustifiable. You’re paying here the equivalent of a semi-gastronomic restaurant, without the service or...
Read moreWhile I did not in fact have the greatest experience, if you're looking for really spicy food this is the place. I ordered the spiciest thing on the menu, vindaloo beef, a type of curry. I eat spicy food regularly, my cabinet has naga peppers, carolina reapers and the likes, so I can take the spice. This vindaloo beef was spicier than those. I don't know what they put in that but after eating 3/4 of my plate my stomach started dying from spice. I had to stop eating. That's how spicy it is. This is genuine Indian cuisine. My mother had sweet curry not sure which one, and it was really tasty. The staff is nice even if their French isn't the best. Would recommend especially if you want to test...
