Excellent eating place if you do not wish to go for traditional food. This is a Chinese restaurant in Capitole area in the French city of Toulouse. My son is studying in Toulouse and took me to this eating joint one evening when I had gone to France in Feb/March this year (2019). You have a choice of noodles to choose. Add supplements like chicken, pork, mushroom, legumes etc ànd then opt for the sauce like sweet sour, hot Asia, schezwan etc. The overall pricing of dish is calculated by adding prices of all three. I normally prefer schezwan and found it very tasty. My son opted for Hit Asia legumes but it was too hot. Since I do not eat beef or pork I had only one option to go for chicken. Unfortunately chicken was at the bottom of the box and I could not mix it well. You are served a good quantity of food which is sufficient to satisfy your hunger. A few beverages ate also in offer and they prove to be good accompaniment. In India we are served complimentary water which is not a practice in western countries. So you need to order a drink, alcohol or non alcoholic is your personal choice. What I didn't like was the serving. Noodles are served in a deep box. You are not able to mix or toss the food as they are not in an open plate. Serving in a box is okay if you want to carry it home but certainly not if you are eating in the restaurant. There are limited tables and seats are not very comfortable. You also feel lot of disturbance as visitors keep coming and placing their orders. Passersby on the street too are an obstruction in your enjoyment for food. Still nice place to have a grub if you are in Toulouse, South France. I will visit the place again when I am in Toulouse next time. #apurvarai #streetfood #visitfrance, #toulouse #foodtrail #hungryforfood...
Read moreThe idea is good, however the execution is below mediocre. What you get on your noodle is really just what you select: pre-prepared toppings + sauce. They don't use any fresh ingredients in the cooking (like garlic, which would be essential). We only realised this on the way out when we checked how they cooked. The result is a really cheap, almost industrial dish that lacks the flavors and textures from fresh ingredients. (+ the three sauces we tried were all overly sweet, and the ones categorised "spicy" were not spicy at all) Why don't they add at least some pre-chopped allium as standard, I wonder - it would be really easy to do and would make a world...
Read moreI got the udon with mushrooms, shrimp and curry sauce. Curry sauce should not even be there, it was thick like béchamel, which is not proper asian cuisine. Half of the mushrooms where not sliced properly, they were so big and undercooked, almost raw. Shrimp was OK. Why do they serve it in carton bowls when you're eating in the resto? It really makes the experience low quality. I don't think i will eat here again. Would...
