Central location and the food was good and reasonably priced. The place was unclean and disorganized to the extreme. It took over 10 minutes before someone greeted me, another 10 plus minutes to order food and another 10 minutes before a beverage arrived at the table. People kept coming in with the owner calling out times '5 minutes, 10 minutes" with no follow through to help the existing customers nevertheless the new ones. The moment a guest arrives at a restaurant, they should be greeted, shown to a clean table, offered drinks, wifi password, etc. The lack of organization and preparation clearly falls on the owner's shoulders. The atmosphere is what I really want to highlight. There was a young black man working that day who the owner treated horribly on several occasions. At one point, when I was paying, the two had an interaction at the counter when the young man walked off to the kitchen to remove himself from the scene. I won't say what I suspect was happening because it's not fair to judge someone when I don't know what's inside their heart and mind; but what I do know is there was a young man who was clearly untrained and overwhelmed, but rather than showing kindness and giving him a hand up, the owner was rude and then mocked him with the other staff. First it was incredibly unprofessional that this happened in front of guests and more importantly it's no way to treat and retain staff, which is probably why he was so short staffed to begin with. In the year 2023-24 this is simply...

Well we ran in here quick as a relief from the rain. We saw a good beer list and the food looked decent. Yes the beer list was good, no the food was not.
We were greeted quickly, which was good considering all the other reviews of slow service. Ordered a beer, it was good and cold. Seemed fine so far. Then we started reading the reviews as we looked at the menu, and said yes to food on accident, should have said no.
I got the Brochette Royale Pub, which was a plate of mixed meats and she got Pave de Rumstek (steak frites). When it came all seemed fine until we cut into our steaks. As Gordon Ramsay would say “It’s f*g raw!” Mine was completely raw, both pieces, and hers was raw as well. We asked to take them back and when they returned, they were leather (luckily my bacon and sausage were still there). Hers was inedible leather and the chef took half of it off the plate and didn't return it and mine was cooked better but tough as well.
The couple next to us ordered steak and a burger and hers was leather and his burger was raw ground meat. We discussed our meals with them as we were both upset.
TLDR; The long and short of it was, don't get food here. If you want coffee or a drink, fine, just don't get the food. Our last night in Paris for a halfway decent meal...
Read moreWe had a really poor experience at this pub. Food was not good and service was careless. Decided to stop in after a long day at the Chateau. Service was very slow even though they were not very busy (many empty tables and they told us to sit wherever we wanted), we waited almost 15 mins before anyone stopped by our table. Had a tough time trying to get the bill as well, and eventually just walked up to the bar with cash because we were waiting so long. My friend’s steak was nearly inedible - she had ordered ‘medium’ and we could tell the steak had been cooked from frozen, was still pretty raw. She also never received her wine which they still tried to bill us for (they did take it off the check after we told them). I ordered a croque saumon and I thought it was ok until I realized it was ham and not salmon! We had such an awful time here overall, it really ended up being laughable. Would not recommend folks stopping in here just because it’s close to the Chateau, unless they somehow drastically improve their food...
