This place is just not worth it. I had this restaurant bookmarked on my maps for the last half a year and decided to visit it on my anniversary with fiancee. We ordered 2 cocktails and 3 meals. Cocktails were the only thing that was good at this place besides the looks from the window. We ordered dragon roll - sushi were small and untrimmed on the sides. I didn’t expect to see this type of rolls in a restaurant like this. The taste is average, and there’re a lot of better places if you want Japanese sushi in Batumi. Spring rolls - they were falling apart, because it’s cut with a knife on the kitchen. So it was hard to eat them and taste was also average. Then we had a main dish: I had chilli chiken ramen, and my partner had thai red curry. Red curry was mid, it didn’t had a taste of curry at all, it was reminding a tom yum but with ingredients like bell peppers, eggplants, etc. Ramen was a disaster. They brought it in a big bowl that was filled less than half. It looked like a joke. Chicken was dry, noodles didn’t even close look like it was homemade. It reminded me of supremo pasta from 2 nabiji for 3 lari. And I was surprised to see there crab sticks. To be clear, it’s just a parody of a ramen, that was ok to serve in 2000’s, but now? And the last part is their service. We were waiting for our dishes almost 1 and a half hour., even though restaurant was half empty. When you leave a check of 100 dollars for 3 dishes at least you expect that waiters won’t place clean bowls on top of dirty plates with dirty napkins on it. Then the music started playing. There were live music, of course no one told us, and as far as we had a special day we wanted to enjoy each others company, but the loudness of the music didn’t allow us to communicate. So we left. DO NOT GO THERE until you want to make a city panorama photos...
Read moreVery nice views and good food (apart from yellow tail sashimi and octopus)
I have rated this place 3 stars as our yellow tail sashimi which was 85 lari (most expensive sashimi) was not fresh, i was sick after the same evening and my stomach still not well (will have to check it with doctors after I’m back from this holiday), so we sent it back and the staff and chef tried to convince us otherwise by questioning us what was wrong with it instead of just taking it to the chef directly for him to try. Also which was quite shocking I must say is chef sending yellow tail to us again to try without the sauce to point out we were wrong?
I live in London and been to Japan, had yellow tail in many places their yellow tail was not fresh and attitude was not correct. Also their octopus is very chewy and we did not touch that, no one asked us what was wrong with it.
This was out dinner and after we got back home with my husband I was sick, I did have a tea and shisha in another place after this dinner but I do think it was due to this dinner as I smoke shisha regularly.
Bottom line is: good cooked dishes like chicken, amazing dessert good views Stay away from raw sea food and the...
Read moreDisappointment at clouds was a disappointing experience as a Restaurant. You pay for the location not for the food. The service was slow and inattentive, despite the restaurant being empty. The servers' limited English made communication difficult, and it took a frustratingly long time just to pay the bill. The food was a mixed bag, with more misses than hits. The complimentary prawn crackers were soggy, and the yakitori skewers—pork belly and octopus—were a major disappointment. They were clearly cooked on an electric grill, not chargrilled as the menu promised, and lacked the spring onions. The pork was dry and tough. The Spicy Tuna & Mango Roll was average. The only highlight was the Kyuri Roll, a creative and delicious dish. However, one good dish couldn't save the overall experience. The combination of poor service and subpar food makes this a restaurant I won't be returning to. I'd give it a very generous 3...
