Amazing dining experience in Kutaisi

We discovered Story restaurant after a few days in the city and decided to give it a try. What a great surprise! The food was excellent: we ordered the tarragon and chicken salad, the bean and cheese khachapuri, the meat with cherries, and a dessert of pears in wine with custard. Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous—we could barely finish everything, even though there were three of us. Don´t miss the housemade lemonades!!!

The service was impeccable, with Ani and the rest of the team being attentive and friendly at all times. At first, we wanted to sit on the terrace, but since it was winter, it was closed (which is totally understandable—it’s cold despite the sunshine). However, they seated us at a table with a beautiful view of the terrace and the river, making the experience even better.

If we return to Kutaisi, we will definitely visit again. The menu has many interesting dishes that are worth exploring. The atmosphere is also lovely—the place is beautifully decorated and very inviting. The only reason we wouldn’t give it a full 5/5 for ambiance is that sometimes the music was a bit loud. But overall, it’s a fantastic place that we highly recommend!

PS.: No pictures, I prefer to live the experience :) Mum took a couple but unfortunately they...

We visited this place on our very last evening in Georgia — late on a Saturday night, just an hour before closing, looking for one final memorable meal before flying back to Germany.

And let me tell you — this wasn’t just dinner. It was a whole new level of what Georgian hospitality can look like.

We’ve eaten in many places across the country and loved the local cuisine, but this restaurant completely redefined the experience.

The interior was elegant and inviting. The menu? Traditional Georgian with a refined, modern twist — fresh, creative, and exciting.

But what truly made this evening unforgettable was the exceptional service by Miriam, our charming and professional waitress.

Pressed for time, we asked her for recommendations — and she nailed it.

In perfect English, she picked exactly the dishes we didn’t even know we were craving. She read our minds.

Long story short: the food was spectacular, the service next-level, and the entire vibe elevated Georgia to a place we’ll carry in our hearts.

This restaurant sets a new bar — high European standards, zero compromises, and pure class.

Thanks to Miriam, this was not just a meal — it was the perfect ending to an amazing...

On our first day in Kutaisi, we set out to explore the area and came across this charming restaurant. It’s quite quaint, and from the outside, it’s hard to tell if it’s open, but we were surprised once we stepped inside. We were greeted immediately and seated to our preference, which is very welcoming. The staff are friendly and the service is great.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the food was gorgeous. Both the wine and beer selection were excellent. The dishes were fresh and delicious, but there was one small drawback: the pork item we ordered seemed to be drowning in a sweet and sour cherry sauce with a side of flaky pastry. The flavor was good, but the sauce was too much, to the point where I almost didn’t notice there was pork in there.

Overall, it’s a must-visit whenever you’re in Kutaisi. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. A slight adjustment to the sauce ratio would make it perfect, but we would...
