We decided to choose this restaurant as a break from Georgian food. We were greeted by a really lovely waitress who was working so hard to try and serve a full restaurant on her own. I received my food very fast, and it was nice! However, the problems began when my husband had to wait over 40 mins for his food and received dry rice upon arrival.
I want to praise the restaurant for its handling of this issue has they offered us a fully free meal (despite us insisting we would pay for everything but that one plate) everyone was very apologetic and we were pleased by this.
However, the issues began - there was a waitress (she is blond) who decided to argue with our waitress and berate her and also make her nearly cry on numerous occasions & also spoke to us in an awfully rude manner plus was making ridiculous comments suggesting they would just provide the rice for free & said she would remove his food while he was still eating the chicken?! We also witnessed many arguments which is not acceptable.
Upon leaving we insisted on giving our sweet waitress a tip and wanted to at least try and cover the cost of my meal, as we know it wasn’t her fault. She refused but we insisted and made it clear that it was for her & that it especially wasn’t for the other woman.
To finalise the quite frankly awful human being tried to state she was an owner (she wasn’t, we already knew she was a waitress and should probably work on her lies before making them) and screamed at us to not return - in a room full of customers may I add.
We never requested a free meal, it was given to us & we likely would’ve returned (and not written this review) if it wasn’t for her horrific behaviour as mistakes absolutely happen but I think that there are people much more deserving of the job role she has rather than her. I am so...
Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Siam Thai Restaurant in Kutaisi. From the moment we walked in, the place felt warm and welcoming, with a cozy atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a great meal.
We ordered a mix of dishes to try as much as possible, Pati, spring rolls, fried shrimps, chicken rice, and for dessert, tapioca with coconut cream. Every single plate was delicious and beautifully prepared.
The Pati was perfectly seasoned and very satisfying. The spring rolls were crispy on the outside, light on the inside, and packed with flavor. The fried shrimps were golden, crunchy, and not oily at all, just the way they should be.
The chicken rice was comforting and cooked just right, a simple dish done really well. And then came the dessert, tapioca with coconut cream, creamy, sweet, and refreshing, a perfect ending to the meal.
We were really impressed with the quality of the ingredients and how fresh everything tasted. The flavors were well-balanced and felt truly authentic, reminding us of proper Thai cooking.
Service was another highlight. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always smiling, which made the whole experience even better. Our dishes came out quickly, served hot, and everything looked appetizing from the start.
The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and nicely decorated, making it a comfortable spot whether you come for a quick meal or a longer dinner with friends and family.
Overall, Siam Thai Restaurant is definitely one of the best places to eat in Kutaisi. It combines authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service at a very fair price. We left completely satisfied and happy, and we’ll definitely come back on our next visit. Highly...
Read moreOne of the best Thai food places to go to (outside of Thailand). Amazing food, service and ambience. We ate there every day during our stay in Kutaisi and tried nearly everything on the menu. From starters to desserts and drinks, everything was phenomenal and authentic. Their chef is from Chang Mai and it reflects in the taste. For Muslims, it's a great option as it is certified Halal.
Top must tries: Gunge Ob Woosen (baked shrimps with Glass noodles) Pad Thai (was yummy and well balanced) Garlic Chicken (for those who don't like spicy food) Spring rolls (fresh and super delicious)
Service was spot on and simply amazing. Medea and Nini were fluent in English and very welcoming. They helped recommend dishes to order. Dato made our drinks (do give Anchan a try - not for all but we enjoyed it).
Location wise, it's in the centre of the city. Parking may be difficult but totally worth the hassle. Would highly recommend to reserve in advance as they are usually packed after 6pm.
I rate this wonderful piece of Thailand outside of Thailand a 10 out 10. They share the same hospitality that you would find in Thailand.
Thank you for this...
