I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience at Live Museum in Kutaisi absolutely deserves one. From the moment I stepped in, I felt like I was entering a place that blends history, art, and incredible hospitality all in one.
The atmosphere is truly unique—it feels like you’re dining inside a living, breathing museum, surrounded by beautiful details and a warm, welcoming vibe. The bar is one of the best I’ve seen in Georgia—stylish, well-stocked, and run by people who really know what they’re doing.
The food? Absolutely unforgettable. Every dish is a celebration of Georgian flavors, beautifully presented and bursting with authenticity. I tried Khinkali, Khachapuri, and a local specialty they call Khatsabikry—each one was a masterpiece in taste and texture. The flavors were rich, the ingredients fresh, and the portions generous. I was so impressed during my first visit that I had to come back just a week later—and somehow, it was even better the second time. That’s how you know a place is special.
A special thank you to the wonderful staff who made both visits feel truly memorable. I’d especially like to mention Nika, Reta, Salome, and Daniel – your service was outstanding, and your warmth and professionalism made a lasting impression.
To anyone visiting Kutaisi: do not miss Live Museum. Whether you’re going for the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, or just to experience something truly original—this place delivers on every level.
Massive thanks to the team for creating such a magical space. I’ll definitely...

Review: My family and I recently visited "Museum Bar Restaurant" and had a mixed experience. We ordered shashlyk, kachapuri, kubdari, a light cola, and a Caesar salad with tuna, with the total bill amounting to 95 Lari.
The food was generally good, (shashlyk was a little bit hard and dry) maintaining a standard that is reflective of traditional Georgian cuisine, but the price felt somewhat high for the quality. It's also worth mentioning that the restaurant applies a 12% service fee, which I didn't particularly appreciate. I believe in the principle of tipping based on the level of service provided, and I felt that this enforced service fee diminished the spirit of that practice.
That being said, the service was commendable. The waitstaff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive to our needs, which definitely added a positive note to our visit.
In conclusion, while "Museum Bar Restaurant" boasts a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service, the pricing structure and mandatory service fee detracted from our overall experience. As such, I feel compelled to rate our visit with a 3 out of 5. I hope to see the management take these points into consideration for future...
Read moreNot recommended for foreigners. Discriminating. We went there as a group (8individuals). They accepted us and showed us a table inside. A table for 4. We asked for a bigger one, or another table to be attached beside it or if there will be any vacant, we will wait. Then while checking for the menu, a bigger table became available. So we approached the staff if we can transfer. One staff says, yes that they will just clean it after he spoke to other staff. But another lady staff talked to the him and speak in their language, pointing to other georgian customer. So the staff said back to us that it is not available because they have another customer. We said but we came first and constantly saying please. They talked to each other again and they said back to us, “reserve” and that’s it, without any other explanations.
This happened to us 3 times in other restaurants too. They usually say they are full but no. They don’t entertain foreigners.
We had no choice but to just go back to our hotel. We were not able to eat.
I am already in love with the country but disappointed with this kind of...
