Lord, have mercy, this is an EXTREMELY underrated sushi spot! It has been running for quite a few months now and yet despite living very close to the area it has never really crossed my mind to give it a try until today. I will be completely honest - I stepped in not really expecting anything stellar because let’s keep it real - compared to decent-sized restaurants, small sushi bars find it harder to compete quality wise. I ordered a Sumo maki initially after checking out what seemed like a little limited menu. But don’t jump to conclusions just yet. The taste was SUPERB! Highly unexpected of a sushi place to have a vegetarian option that is VERY delicious. I was so pleasantly surprised that decided to taste another sushi as well. So I ended up ordering a very popular item - Bandai Gaeru roll that has listed cream cheese, wasabi mayo and tuna flakes, basically all the ingredients I strongly dislike. However, and this is the one and only time I have stated such thing - all three complement one another creating one perfect symphony of a taste that has me raving over it in this review as you can clearly see. Wow I am salivating right now just thinking about it. Obviously no need to underline how fresh the ingredients were. But one thing worth underlining is the fact that the main chef who is also the owner, is the very same chef who used to work at Buddha Bar and everyone knows Buddha Bar was very famous for its sushi. What ended up happening is that Giorgi (the chef) created the entire menu as very much a fusion of a Japanese cuisine. It’s different. It’s delicious. It’s better than most traditional sushi as we know it. Truly this man is a master of his craft both in taste and presentation. At this point you should already be guessing that a short menu is a result of creating each item from scratch and developing it into a masterpiece. Thank you, team. I enjoyed the food, the ambiance and a very friendly trio. My decision to have a takeaway was changed into a dining in. No regret. Forget Wasabi, forget Mochi, Forget Ukve. Go Ramekai. No shade, just...

I dined in and ordered the vegetarian miso ramen with tofu and egg, which was awful—0/10.

It was far from real ramen. The broth had a strange, expired taste from the start. I suspect it was the silken tofu that went bad. The silken tofu was an odd choice since ramen typically includes firm or extra-firm tofu. Still, I gave the noodles a try, hoping they’d redeem the dish, but they were completely bland. This wasn’t ramen. It was a basic, poorly made noodle soup with low-quality ingredients. I didn’t finish it.

The service was good. They have open kitchen so you can see how your dish is being prepared. The front desk ladies were friendly. They spoke fluently Georgian, English, and Russian. I also had vegetarian sushi delivered to my apartment— 6/10.

The packaging was excellent! I am writing this review mostly to praise it. For the first time, the soy sauce didn’t spill all over the sushi during delivery with Wolt. Great idea, Ramekai!

I ordered the V-MAKI roll. The taste was good thanks to the cream cheese, but the pricing didn’t make sense. This vegetarian roll costed more than some of their fish-based rolls, like the unagi maki, which felt unreasonable.

It would be great if they offered a vegetarian sushi set with all their veggie options in one. Or even better if you could create your...

I recently visited Ramekai / Vake and had an excellent dining experience. We ordered a variety of dishes, including kimchi, noodles with shrimp, tom yum ramen with shrimp, kosho rolls, and traditional ginger kombucha. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented.

The kimchi had the perfect balance of spice and tang, while the noodles with shrimp were cooked to perfection. The tom yum ramen was a standout, with a rich, spicy broth and succulent shrimp. The kosho rolls were a delightful addition to the meal, offering a nice contrast in texture. My son live it. The traditional ginger kombucha was a refreshing way to end the meal.

The service was top-notch as well, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, we loved the food and the welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious,...

Small corner of Asian food in Vake. Miyazaki characters are all over the place =) First we wanted to order shrimp ramen and noodle, but the lady at the desk told us they ran out of shrimp, a major disappointment :/ so we got away with veggie noodle, tempura veggies plate and salmon rolls set. My girlfriend enjoyed the rolls very much, they were served quite fast. I had to wait for my part of order(noodle and tempura) for 25-30 mins, which is quite a while imo, but the waiting has paid off. Mango sauce was very delicious, noodle serving was large and tasty. We were totally full by the end of our meal. Drinks choice is a bit limited in my opinion (would be nice to have smth besides regular sugary cola/fanta/sprite/etc - some juices, maybe). All in all, a nice place to grab some tasty Asian food. :)
