IL Fresco Restaurant | Bar — Restaurant in Böblingen

I often come to Boeblingen due to my consultant work and my hotel is located near IlFresco.

I really like the restaurant, the atmosphere is calm, service is nice and food is really good. It is one my two go-to restaurants in this city, and the best option for those days I arrive to the station and I just want to have a good dinner and go to sleep.

They have a good variety of soups, salads, toasts, pasta, pizzas (...) which allows you to eat more healthy or more heavy depending on how you feel that day.

All the dishes I tasted along these weeks were great without exception (many pizzas, all the pasta dishes, all bruschettas, all soups) and I really like capriciosa pizza, the taglione with meat and the tomato soup. They were tasty, fresh, balanced and not oily, greasy nor salty.

As I am not a person of sweet tastes I can not talk about deserts, but they also look nice when neighboring tables order them.

About sizes, I think you can perfectly get yourself full with one pasta or pizza. Once in a while I also get a salad or an appetizer if I am REALLY hungry, but it is not usual.

I am recommending this restaurant to all the colleagues that are coming to Boeblingen and all have the same opinion I have about it.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere inside is nice, clean bathrooms, quiet at the lunch hour. Depends on if you like being right next to a walking area with a lot of shoppers and wanderers about for the outside area. But on a cool day I think it would be nice to dine... Al Fresco at Il Fresco. Food was above average but not amazing. I would say if you're in the area at lunch or dinner and want Italian it's a perfectly good place to go. An Italian food anytime place, but for me, not a date night option. Want to say again thought, service/staff is excellent. I had the spinach and mangold pasta and it was tasty, and the sweet potato fries my kids had were also...

We arrived after lunch on a Sunday and it was nice to find a place that was still open. The food was good, but our entire experience got spoiled by the waiter, who was doing his best to avoid talking to us (unfortunately our German isn't great so we ordered in English). After the order, he completely ignored that we ordered mineral water (we tried asking twice), we had to wait and signal multiple times until another waiter came to our table so that we could pay our bill - I'll try to assume this isn't standard and thus still give this place 4 stars, but I definitely didn't feel great while...
