The cafe looked lovely from the outside but it was ruined as soon as the man behind the till opened his mouth. His behaviour was nothing short of disgusting. Honestly so appalling, I have never experienced service so disappointing before. He spoke in an arrogant and condescending way to all of us- despite him clearly not knowing enough about coffee ( it was overly milky and generally quite terrible unfortunately ), was rude when asked about vegan options and if certain drinks were vegan (some cafes make cocoa drinks with skimmed milk powder so you always have to check but unfortunately he mocked the person who asked and behaved as though it was a stupid question) and kept cutting each of us off to insist only one person can order for everyone. For a group of seven, it is not expected for someone in the group to remember every part of everyone else’s order- especially not okay to repeatedly cut people off. It’s fair enough to be stressed or encourage people to quicken their pace with an order (not to treat them poorly) if you’re busy.. except there was no queue behind us and we were with elderly people. No one should speak to anyone (customer or not) in the manner he spoke to us.
I didn’t say anything in person but really wish I had! Therefore I’m writing a review in the hopes you fix up and learn a thing or two about customer service/ being a good person! Making other people feel small won’t fix anything- and it certainly isn’t good for the business!
Really would...
Read moreGreat place to go for breakfast. The coffee is amazing, strong but not bitter, with just the right amount of velvety milk according to the drink you ordered. I've tried most of the coffees and by far my favourite is their flat white. The croissant I ordered with my coffee was buttery and flaky and seemed to be made in house.
The shop is quite small with seating for only 8-10 people so while cozy it's not really a place that you want to stay for more than a half hour or 45 minutes.
A great thing about Kaffeesack is that they sell all types of freshly roasted coffee beans. If you don't have a grinder at home just tell them what kind of coffeemaker you have and they will grind then for you.
Would definitely recommend this place and will be...
Read moreUpdate I haven't been here for about 5 months. Now the Avocado Stulle is diy style.. and less Avocado...less bread but higher price. Coffee might be OK, but im quite disappointed. It is starting to become a tourist trap. If you want coffee, go there...but it's overpriced coming to food and dessert. And the quality is quite uite average now. Tourists en masse,so they don't seem to be interested in regular guests anymore other than for a short coffee stop. They make it clear they want you out fast. Not attentive and to be greeted is too much asked for here now as well. What a pity!
Cute little cafe, great pastries, friendly staff and cozy place to sit and...
