A cozy spot for those curious about Georgian cuisine, but the experience can be hit or miss.
The Katchapouri is definitely the highlight — warm, cheesy, and satisfying — but most of the other dishes fall short of expectations, tasting fairly average and lacking the depth of flavor you might hope for from this vibrant cuisine. They didn’t even have veal early in the dinner shift, and the lamb was really dry.
The biggest surprise isn’t the food but the pricing, which feels a bit high considering the overall quality.
What does make Nani stand out is its setting. The restaurant is located on an upper floor with a balcony area that provides lovely views over the city, especially in the evening. It’s accessible by elevator, which makes it easy to reach, and the ambiance on the balcony is arguably more memorable than the meal itself.
Service is generally friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a decent choice for a casual dinner or a drink with a view. Just don’t expect a standout culinary experience.
Overall, Georgisches Restaurant Nani is worth a visit if you’re nearby and want to enjoy a good Katchapouri with a nice view, but the rest of the menu and the pricing make it more of a one-time stop than a place you’d...
Read moreWe stopped in Nani for a meal when we were in Baden for the reinsurance conference. The staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and even how it could be adapted if we wanted to change anything. It was our first time having Georgian food. We were absolutely delighted with all the courses. We had a starter of roasted egg plant stuffed with minced walnuts and it was delicious. We then had a cheese bread which was also delicious. Our main course was barbecue meets we had beef and lamb and it was served with a beautiful salad which contained lots of fresh vegetables and greens and warm potato and there were two separate sauces on the side, everything was delicious. The other thing to note was the atmosphere was really settling. The prices were very good value also. We would highly recommend Nani if you are visiting Baden-Baden and if you haven't tried Georgian food before this will certainly be the...
Read moreStrange, that my feedback disappeared. So, here I write it again.
It's really sad for me to leave this kind of feedback, but I just got back home from Nani where I wished to have a dinner for a while. I returned back home absolutely hungry, I didn't receive my order... I was waiting and waiting, when people around me was starting, then finishing their meals, paying bills and leaving... My husband also finished his order, although he was offering me to share his food I was waiting for mine. Never had this kind of experience. No need to say that I didn't get anything as a little "sorry" thing from restaurant - small snack or glass of wine, nothing. More, when I finally lost a hope to dinner tonight, I asked for a check and in check was part of my order that I never received... The evening was ruined, I only happy I didn't try this restaurant on my birthday....
