Hofbräu — Restaurant in Bamberg

So to begin with the food was fantastic. The taste and seasoning was great with real Babaria flavor included two fantastic Vorspeise. Unfortunately the service was really lacking. For one at the moment to take the order the waiter was obviously a little desperate and giving the feeling of "either you order or i disappear". After we rushed to order there was food missing that we ordered and forgot the drinks. On the other side the next waiter was also rushing and was a little bit rude. I mean I get it you got one guy taking orders, cleaning and picking up plates and glasses, serving and getting out orders....... Of course there r going to be mistakes but if I pay a lot of money for for good food ist kind of a bad feeling of the service does not matter the reason is lacking. Sadly even with great food not going back, I don't like to be rush into ordering and even less someone serving me that is bother because he could not explain clearly. For the management get more people or don't let that many people at...

Hofbrau Bamberg Well we didn't know it was a public holiday in Bavaria when we decided to visit Bamberg, w e made our way to the old town we strolled around making the most of the sights,

we decided it was time to eat as we were close to the Altes Rathaus we tried the Hofbrau we sat outside in the sun our waitress soon came and asked us for our choice realising we were English ( not really one Englishman two Scots a my sister in law a who is from Virginia) she spoke to us in very good English, we soon made our choice and off she went with our order our drinks soon arrived and our meals not longer after my wife went for the sausages I am not sure what mine was called but a dumpling with mushrooms in a sauce and a salad both were very nice, we both decided we would have our meals again and we would return to the Hofbrau.

We had never been to Bamberg before but we will return to see more ,and hope the sun shines that day like...

The restaurant is rather famous in Bamberg and i guess it is alright. The service was very nice and rather fast. Ideally we would have wanted a table outside but there was nothing available. Sat inside but then nobody would actually care to tell us if a table outside became available. The food on the other hand...quite weird. I had “coq au vin” - which was, in fact, a Chicken soup. Sorry, but that thing was nothing like what coq au vin should be. It was somehow tasty but...as chicken soup. And the “grünkohl” reminded me a chewing gum gone wrong. It was super sticky and had an unpleasant texture. The pork was delicious though. Give it is try but stay away from the...
