Alibi Meyhane — Restaurant in Berlin

The service was outrageously bad. We had a little less than half an hour to eat, so me and my friend asked how long it would take to prepare our food (I had an English breakfast, my friend had a French breakfast). The waitress said 10 to 15 minutes. After 20 minutes, the food still hadn't arrived and we asked whether the food was almost ready. The waitress said it was. 5 more minutes pass, time was running out and we asked if we could take it to go. We went to pay for the food that still hadn't arrived yet, but my friend only got a receipt for her coffee. The waitress didn't even get her order. She told my friend she could get her a croissant, which she had to pay for. We didn't get anything on the house as an apology for our wasted time. Turned out they were out of croissants too, so my friend didn't get to eat. We had to wait for about 5 more minutes for my food. I finally got my food over half an hour since I ordered it and they didn't even have a fork to eat it with. The English breakfast was okay, but I won't ever go back again. Worst food establishment...

This place has existed since the earlier 1990's and has been established as one of the meeting point for local people to meet, eat and drink.

I experienced the chicken dish You see in this post; was the greatest. Tender and tasty not to many spices that might disturb you taste buds.

Just had a long weekend in Berlin. Called in here twice for food as it was local & recommended to us. Had the risotto both times, 2 different recipes & both were very good, my daughter had the ravioli on our second visit & said it was the best she'd ever had. High praise indeed.
