I warn everyone who is even considering visiting this place to look for other cafes nearby. Yesterday I was working there on my laptop waiting for a colleague of mine when a guy (apparently the owner) approached me in a very unfriendly manner and practically commanded me to turn off the laptop because it was lunch time (?) When I told him I was going to have lunch there in 30' I just had to finish writing an email he started shouting at me in broken German. I complained about the inapropriate tone and then he got really mad and starting shouting GEH RAUS at me. I never had such a treatment from a coffee place in my life ever! Please don't support these guys and let them find what customer service is...
Read moreAny amazing place to work from, plenty of space to setup your laptop and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. There’s individual desks, benches and a large dining table which you can perch yourself on. Plenty of locals sitting around reading their archaic newspapers it’s really retro. I love the vibe in this place, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The seats are comfortable and there’s plenty of power points to plug into. The pastries look really delicious and a hot latte costs 2.6 euro to give you some perspective on price. At lunch times they ask you to respect the no laptop open policy which makes sense as they need the table space for lunch customers....

Some truly wonderful cakes and sandwiches o offer but they go fast so if you arrive a bit into the afternoon the food counter might be a tad threadbare. Like it's sister establishment in Friedrichshain, it has a range of newspapers and is mean for so serious lounging. The wifi is free and there are plenty of power points.
