I was walking around, looking for a place to eat, and a guy was out in front promoting the happy hour. It was old-school in that way; you don't usually see someone getting people off the street to come in. It was after 9 pm on a Saturday night, and I wasn't looking to drink, but I decided to give it a try. I had a Pina Colada, which was was big and tasted good. It was also enough in terms of alcohol content. I'd say it's more substantial than what I can get at home, so it was a good deal. The people who worked there were really friendly and I have no complaints about the food because I kept it simple: fried vegetables and Paneer Naan. They also gave me a small tray of three spices, so I was able to avoid blandness. One of the spices was hot and the other two weren't, but they were still flavorful. Make sure to ask for the spices if you want more flavor and heat. I sat outside in perfect weather, and the vibe was nice. Great first night in Berlin and...
Read moreCouple of reasons for this one star and no recommendations at all. Food : Ordered one dish of paneer, Daal, chicken, naans and rice. one of the dishes tasted like it was made atleast a week ago. Others were just as bad. Was sick for a day afterwards. There was no difference between papad and garlic naan. Mango lassi was full of sweet syrup. Ambience: was fine. They have indoor as well as outdoor sitting option. Plenty of space to sit but it was mostly empty. Service: Just unprofessionals, bang the plates on your table, poke you again and again to place order ( even though we had complete Indian style meal...starters, drinks, main course with many dishes!!), you cannot enjoy your drinks in peace and one or the other waiters will try to push you to order more and more and speak rudely. So all in all, everything is over-priced! No value for money since you don't even get good healthy food. One could find better restaurants in...
Read moreGenuinely great service and good food. Not only are the waiters courteous, they bring the food quickly and check in on us often. They even helped us pacify our baby so we could find in peace. The tandoori chicken was good but not at all authentic which is the only reason I haven't given all the five stars. Similarly the prawn koliwada was a delicious dish with an extremely light coat with no excess oil but it had a weak curry leaf aroma which should have been much stronger ideally. The mulligatawny soup was to die for. Chicken Hyderabadi is an excellent and unique dish that we haven't come across in any other Indian restaurant in Germany. The bhatura had an amazingly crispy -chewy texture without any unnecessary grease dripping from it. I wish I could give them 4.5 starts but maps doesn't allow it. The price to quality ratio is excellent and I can't wait to be...
