Café Zuckersüss — Restaurant in Berlin

I usually don’t write reviews like this, but I had a very disappointing experience on September 18, 2025. I am a regular customer at this store and often come here for matcha, but I had never seen the person serving us that day before.

We ordered two matchas, but it was clear he didn’t know how to make them properly. He randomly added the powder, mixed in some milk, and handed it to us. When we tried it, I was shocked—it didn’t taste like matcha at all.

We went back and told him, and he apologized, saying the mixer wasn’t working. We let it go and asked for two iced cappuccinos instead. However, instead of preparing cappuccinos, he gave us another round of poorly made matcha. When we pointed it out, he started arguing with us, and his attitude came across as angry.

This is not the way to treat customers. Mistakes can happen, but arguing with regulars and serving drinks incorrectly is unacceptable as we didn’t ordered the wrong and it’s not our fault if you didn’t know...

I’ve been to this bakery three times. Disappointed all three times. They are really lacking compare to German bakery or even a grocery store bakery…especially with the price the are charging.
