Read moreI visited this restaurant with my family, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The ambiance is pleasant and calm; however, the continuous repetition of instrumental Arabic songs became somewhat irritating, especially when the service was not satisfactory and I found myself looking for something to complain about.
We had a reservation and were given a nice table, but it took nearly 20 minutes for the staff to bring us the menu.
We ordered the “Maza Classic for Two,” which was very good and flavorful. For the main dishes, we chose the “Grill Plate for Two – Lamb Gourmet,” “Fresh Gilthead” (Grilled Fish), and “Mandi Kharouf” (Lamb Shank).
The grilled fish and lamb shank were excellent in terms of taste; however, when the lamb shank was served, it was completely cold. Additionally, instead of the “Lamb Gourmet” grill plate we had ordered, they brought us the “Classic Grill Plate.” When we pointed this out, they informed us that they had run out of lamb chops and had replaced our order without notifying us. Although they offered to substitute lamb kebab for the chicken, which we accepted, everything on the grill plate was overcooked.
The biggest issue we encountered was the service. We requested an extra cola but never received it. After finishing our meal, we asked for the menu again, but they forgot to bring it. We also ordered tea, but I had to call out loudly just to remind them. Overall, the staff seemed disengaged and somewhat irritated, which affected the dining experience.
In summary, while the food is tasty, the poor service and other shortcomings may diminish the...
Read moreUPDATE: I went to the restaurant again today and unfortunately my experience was quite different. I had a reservation and asked for a window table. When I got there, I was led to a table in the back of the restaurant in the middle. There were a few empty tables by the window, but they said we cannot sit there because they are not for two people (there were literally 2-3 tables by the windows that had 2 chairs only!) but they refused anyway despite me asking repeatedly why? I didn’t want to ruin my date and we went on and ordered the food and drinks. The server was quite inhospitable. When it was time to pay, my husband had his card out, but the waiter looked at him and said mockingly “you’re the one paying?!!” in quite a rude sarcastic manner that we didn’t understand or accepted tbh. We walked out feeling that we never want to come back here again because why would we want to be treated in such manners? The food itself was really tasty but good food should not be accompanied by poor manners! The first time we went there we had the loveliest waiter and he was such a delight, but today our waiter was a huge red flag. Such a shame.
The best meat plates I have ever tasted in Berlin! 🤤 We ordered Mansaf and the grillplatte and they were both TOP NOTCH! Perfect taste and tenderness. We also had the cold and hot mazza along with waraq anab and it was super tasty. The service is also very friendly and siper sweet. Our server, Mounir, was very attentive, helpful and cheerful!❤️ Definitely would go back...
