cafénero — Restaurant in Berlin

Updating my review because since then I've visited a number of times for drink and food, and to accommodate for the owner's response:

Coffee is now 1.30 (and not 80 cents as the owner mentions).

Also the food is not good and I would not recommend. They definitely did not account for people visiting the library every day and having to eat there, because most of the menu every day is pasta 🥴 which costs 6.50 EUR, is usually cold and only the topic is a bit hot. They also offer small portions of soup for 5 EUR and 1 or 2 dishes with meat / day which cost 8.50 or 9 EUR.

The coffee is decent given the price (I think the cheapest option is close to 1 euro) but everything else is super expensive. I paid 2.50 for a really small apple strudel. Definitely not...

On their way to Starbucks ... they - like most corporates - have no soul, no pride, no honor anymore. Why do I say that? I really like their espresso - but I also like a lungo. Okay, in England you need to explain what it is (single shot coffee, water of a double) - and then this is the response: "we can do that but it's the price of an Americano" - which means 30% more for zero cost and for a product already with a margin of 95%. Every "real" coffee bar owner would be happy to serve you their espresso as a lungo ... I'm business friendly but corporates take their part in the...

Unfortunately, rude & overpriced. It’s been a while I haven’t been in a Cafe with such attitude:/ the review is not even written based on a single experience. But as the collected experience of many student so far . Filter Coffee for 60 Cent and 1 euro is only argument to be seen affordable, but the food is not that fresh and not from quality ingredients as its claimed considering the price.
