Cafe Hardenberg — Restaurant in Berlin

I stumbled on this place looking for a breakfast spot near a conference meeting space and it was so fortunate. Had a great breakfast here sitting outside and enjoying the weather. Staff and food were great. Coffee perfect.

Two days later my wife and I wanted breakfast for my birthday so I took her here. I ordered what was described as a typical Israeli breakfast and it was a perfect 10/10. My wife loved her food and the restaurant as well. She went inside to use the restroom before we left and saw they had amazing cakes and a cool bar, so that might, she brought me back here after dinner for dessert.

When we arrived it was the same server we had for breakfast that morning. We sat down, ordered a slice of cake (brownie cheesecake), and the bartender heard it was my birthday, so they offered us complimentary glass of champagne and put a candle in the cake slice.

Used to be a frequent visitor at this Cafe! Been missing their famous Schnitzel, therefore decided to give it another visit today. Ordered the Schnitzel, and decided to try their burgers ( an advice : don’t ). Their burgers are frozen at the best case and not well cooked! The schnitzel was almost the same quality, but what I didn’t like though was that the prices went up, and the portions got smaller! Also the radler was a normal beer mixed with sprite, and wasn’t even blended correctly with the right amounts. Very cosy Café right opposite the TU (University) Mensa. Expect many students during the day in a laid back atmosphere. Great food variety for reasonable prices. All the usual suspects from different breakfasts You can additionally adjust to Your likings, small snacks of all sorts to proper meals (eg Burgers, Currywurst, Salads, Deserts) and a lot of choices to drink (coffee, bear, vine, cocktails, homemade lemonade 👍🏻).
