This is one of my favorite Curry wurst joints. I guess that this is a part of a chain of Curry wurst joints. This definitely sets itself apart in the business. The joint is pretty much crowded at all times, be it during the day or even around 11 in the night. Prices are also very reasonable and more so competitive. There is Wurst or sausage made up of pork. You get it in two forms - with or without skin (sausage skin). If you ask for city Wurst or Bratwurst, This is what you can expect to get. There is also Bockwurst, which is chicken sausage. Curry worst is served by cutting the sausage into bite sized pieces, spring with Curry powder and tomato ketchup. Pommes or French fries are a popular accompaniment. You could order that with ketchup or Mayonnaise or both. There is also boulette, which is basically a Frikadellen or a Patty. There is some other such stuff also available. Beverages are also available. There are also a few combos available. I get attracted to the whiff of smell around the place :) . When you are hungry and need to satisfy your hungry quickly, this would be my best bet to have a bite. Give it a try, you will long for more....
Read moreSince I'm a food freak, I asked all my German folks to suggest me some good restaurants and food places to go and they all where talking about curry 36 which set the bar too high and curry 36 kinda failed to reach it. Staff are nice but they have to pay more attention when they are getting orders. The food was fine, but it wasn't anything special and there were not so many options for sauce in fact they only had ketchup and mayonnaise. also, the fact that they actually had ketchup sauce and then they used some curry powder on it instead of a homemade special curry sauce was very disappointing for me. I was expecting something more exclusive. The price was fine but for a street food in berlin it could be even cheaper. I got fries+ 1 koofte+ 1 sausage + a bit of baked onion and it was 10 euros which was a bit higher than rivals in berlin. Generally it worth trying, you might not be surprised but you will...
Read more“Avoid the place if you can't talk in German and don't eat non-vegetarian” We visited this place to have a quick bite. While my friends were non vegetarian they were least bothered about the place. But me being vegetarian had to be very careful before ordering. They just don't speak in English. No English menu and there is huge crowd so they don't even bother to explain you if there is something available for vegetarians.
I asked my friend and he got me a vegetarian sausages with French fries. Before I can have it, I wanted to confirm but they were unresponsive due to huge crowd and finally are after confirming. Had a pint of beer along with that.
Overall an avoidable place. They don't rely on business from tourists as well. It's a local shop with a popular local food 'Curry Wurst'. You can get it at many other places too...
