Not a good experience. We ordered the Kimbap with beef, the Bibimbap with beef and the beef ribs.
The Kimbap came with a cream cheese sauce and something like a sweet potato cream but no soya sauce, which we had to ask for. I have been to dozens of Korean restaurants in Europe. First time the kimbap is so tasteless and comes with such side sauces. 2/5
The “smoked” beef ribs we ordered turned out to be not-so-smoked briskets, but you could not tell looking at the dish because everything was covered in a mountain of generic tasting BBQ sauce. Not a terrible dish but certainly not what we were hoping to get. 2,5/5
I have eaten countless Bibimbaps in Korean restaurants, hands down one or my favorite dishes. This one came in a pipping hot bowl making it a Dolsot Bibimbap which is a common way to serve it in Korean restaurants. And that was the only really Korean part of this “bibimbap” we had. Quite tasteless, no real bibimbap taste, came with corn and other ingredients I have never seen before in a bibimbap and was accompanied by a dull Gochujang and peanut butter. The dish reminded me more of a chili con carne with rice rather than a bibimbap. 1,5/5
Service was not good either. It was a service, food came quickly but the waitresses clearly did not want us or themselves to be there. To clarify, they did not treat us badly, there was no quarrel or anything but certainly they did not treat us well either. 2/5
Looking at the rating on Google (4,6/5 at the time of writing) we thought this would be a good Korean restaurant, but there is barely a Korean taste in most dishes. There is a list of Korean BBQ options to share which may be ok, but I would not visit again to try nor would I recommend this place.
PS. We smell like the bottom of a wok that has been frying oil all day long, so ventilation...
Read moreI have been hearing great things about this Korean BBQ restaurant, but now after trying it I believe it is overrated. It started by the waitress asking us to sit infront of each other and not beside each other in case someone comes later and wants to join our table even though the restaurant was relatively empty at the time. I wanted to order a Korean beer but they said it wasn't available anymore. I proceeded to order chicken wings and beef Kimbap for starters. The wings tasted very good, but weren't spicy at all, so I was disappointed. The Kimbap wasn't properly stuffed and I didn't enjoy it overall. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and the pork belly bimimbap for the main dishes. They both tasted okay, however all the rice was stuck and burnt in the bottom of my plate which is non acceptable. None of the waitresses came to ask what we thought of the food. I was going to come back to try their specialty Korean BBQ, but I am not sure I want...
Read moreWe made a reservation but still had to wait quite a while . It was not the restaurant’s fault and i totally understand because the guests at a few tables , who had finished eating and drinking but still sat there talking , regardless us standing there and waiting . The service was nice, friendly and polite . However the food didn’t live up to my expectations. Kimchi jiggae did not taste so good , i believe that kimchi’s quality was bad . The bbq beef was more like stir fry . It lacked the smokey flavor and the beef could not be charred and has no color after“bbq-ing „ The fried chicken was a bit too sweet to my taste. The drink: ananas coconut shake was not good . I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant if you want a true authentic korean bbq . The atmosphere, decorations and ambiance was...
