Deli House — Restaurant in Berlin

The usual tax evasion. No credit cards, no savings cards (visa). An ugly Chinese woman in her thirties had a very bad attitude, didn't allow me to use any cards but only cash (which is your usual method of tax evasion), needed me to co-operate with your tax evasion but didn't make it any easier for me. I have already said that my smallest euro is 50 euros, but in the end I left with a lot of change. Very excessive! I have VISA, I have MASTERCARD, I have SAVINGS CARD credit card, I can use it all over the world even in the black market, but not in this Chinese restaurant. This woman will not say goodbye...

I ordered a small wonton soup and Kung Pao chicken, neither was impressive, unfortunately. The wontons were actually good but the broth was basically miso soup with some strange seaweed floating around. The Kung Pao was definitely not “authentic” either - the sauce was way too sweet, reminded me of a generic supermarket brand sweet chili dressing. Plus the chicken didn’t taste very fresh. Additionally, they charge €2.99 for delivery via Lieferando, and the portions are rather small. I paid altogether ca. €20 which is way too expensive given the portion size...

I ordered in and didn't think too much about quality, who does with take out anyway? But already from the menue alone I was blown away by the wide variety of atypical choices. I went for the dumplings, century eggs and water spinach. I was absolutely surprised at the quality and price offered and would definitely order again or come around.
