Tee: 4 Stars The taste was everything I expected. I ordered 1 Rose Oolong Creme cheese and 1 Fruit tea Formosa.
Service: 2 Stars Dosha encourages customers to order online, which is a brilliant idea during this pandemic. I did it 2 hours before my chosen pickup time. They have a clear instruction and LED sign to show your turn by changing the order number outside of the store. However, if I followed their instructions, I would never get my teasand waited in the cold in vain. 10mins passed my chosen time, nothing came up. I decided to get inside to check with the cashier. First, she said they didn’t have my order. Then I showed them my online receipt, they confirmed that they did have my order. However because I ordered the waffles, but they were out of stock, so they didn’t bother to process my order, skip it and moved on with others after mine, including orders from walk in customers which were there even after me.
I calmly asked them to continue with my teas and refunded me rest of the payment. The cashier was sooo confused and she had to ask the other staff how to proceed with my request. I needed to explain the whole situation again with the second staff. Eventually they could make me a bill for walk in customers and refunded me partly. However, as I noticed they placed my order to be the last after several orders, I had to ask the staff again to consider that they in fact 15 mins late on my chosen time, and I came by a car which couldn’t park so long on the side street, so they could move my order a bit forward. after another 10mins or so of waiting, I finally got the teas. No apologies from the staff, in contrary I felt like I had to beg them to check and do my order. This was by far the worst customer service in all of the bubble tea stores in Berlin. I understand mistake can happen but the way the staff handled my case was unsatisfactory. Even if the tea was good, I would not be able to return to the store...
Read moreWas in berlin briefly and decided i wanna check out the boba here. You can smell the new boba being cooked before you even entered the store. I have a strong love for oolong and I already had an osmanthus oolong before I got there so I decided to try their Queen's choice Oolong. And since I was only in for a short trip I ordered another Matcha Latte to test it out.
I'd say Queen choice Oolong is rather light so for strong oolong lover out there, maybe try other options on the menu. But the Matcha Latte tho, that one was really good. I tend to be a bit more picky but you can always tell if a place is serious with their boba if their matcha latte is good. The matcha is strong but not bitter. The vibrance of the matcha is not overpowered by the milk, so I'd definitely recommend. This taste is probably the second best among the matcha I've tried, just after the cream cheese matcha latte I've tried in a different matcha focus store.
For the topping, I had one with the normal boba and another with Haitian. The Haitian are small in size but abundance in quantity, they taste light sweet and just a bit crunchy. The normal boba perl is just sweet enough and soft.
My advice for ordering: Go for 50% sugar so you can still taste the actual tea. Order no ice (yes i love ice too but lets make an exception) for matcha specifically if you don't want it to get diluted.
I went there in the afternoon so it wasn't too crowded but there was stoll a small line so take your time and be patient. The ambiance is nice too so sit around and enjoy the tea aroma :)
Edit bc I forgot: extra point for packaging bc the top cover is very secure. You won't have to worry about spilling or breaking if you're ordering...
Read moreMy gf and I went to Dosha on 12 Feb 2024 at around 13:30pm. Honestly speaking, we had high hopes bc of those positive reviews but we left extremely disappointed. This is our first and perhaps last time visiting Dosha….
Unfriendly staff - there were 2 staffs working there at that time. I really can’t say my experience with the one of the staffs was pleasant. The taller woman with tattoo on her left forearm answered my questions with dismissive and unfriendly attitude. And my questions were merely about whether they have lactose free milk….
Plain tea like water- I am not sure about the quality of the tea. Or perhaps there is something wrong with the recipe. But my jasmine tea has no tea flavour at all. So you can imagine drinking a cup of warm water with soya milk flavour….. To be frank, the taste is awful….
Dirty, dust/ spider web hanging on the shelf - some cleaning there would be nice?
Possible lactose cross contamination - my gf and I both suffer from lactose intolerance. Therefore we paid extra to have soya milk instead of fresh milk. And we both had diarrhoea right after drinking their tea… We are not certain obviously but we suspect they did not wash their containers and equipment thoroughly and some lactose were remained and contaminated our drinks.
P.S. My gf is born and raised in Asia, been to Taiwan dozen times. Knows perfectly well how a proper bubble tea should taste like. I also drank numerous bubble teas in Europe and Asia. For 6€ per cup, we really expect a better quality and service. Hope the owner see this bc apparently we are not the first one complaining about the service and tea quality. Berlin is a competitive...
