Eispatisserie Hokey Pokey — Restaurant in Berlin

As Ice Cream SNOB this is my favorite Ice Cream place in the whole freaking world. Period. Been trying for 5 years now to find something comparable but no success. The intensity of flavors, the smoothness, the consistent quality, the choice of flavors, the sheer satisfaction you get eating this ice cream will blow you away and have you doubt every other place you try after this one. I have always been an ice cream fanatic, even before. But being exposed to this quality truly made made me a snob. And I am SO SAD I only get to eat here maybe once a year when I’m back in Berlin. And once I’m back my time revolves around going to Hokey Pokey as often as possible. No joke.

This was my introduction to ice cream in Berlin, and suffice to say, it left a very good impression..! While it is closed on winter and only have limited opening hours before about Easter, you can always tell if it is open by the line in front of it, and don't worry, it moves pretty fast. The ice cream itself is refreshing, satisfying and full of flavour, the classics done well, and there is always something for the more adventurous (gin and cucumber?) Given the queue, you should decide what you are having, and whether you want it in a cup or a cone, before you get to the counter.
