Absolutely stunning restaurant and incredible food!
We stumbled across this restaurant by accident as the original restaurant we had booked was not open. Skeptical due to the mixed reviews we though we would give it a go and, good lord, I'm glad we did. For starters we had salmon miso soup, vegetable Pho, spring rolls and won tons. In all honesty I could have eaten the miso soup for days. The rest of the starters were up to the same level and each bite was a delight, it was almost a shame to move onto the main course!
For main course we over ordered sushi, crispy duck and a rice bowl. The sushi was VERY obviously freshly made with the rice still warm. The rolls were enormous and still delicate. After having sushi all over the world I'm confident in saying this was some of the best. The crispy ducks outside was, not surprisingly, crispier than a crispy thing on a dry day. The inside was moist and tender and the flavour was mouth watering.
Overall the rest of the restaurant was beautifully decorated, the staff kind and attentive and atmosphere calm and relaxing. Despite all the praise, even if this was a hole in the wall the food alone would be worth...
Read moreWhen we arrived we had to wait at least 10 minutes for menu card, later we just decided to go inside and take menu by ourselves. Then we had a long wait to someone take our order, it looked like the guy was the only one who was working that day. I ordered gin cocktail that tasted just like regular mojito with sugar and Bacardi :( From food we ordered salmon tartar, that was super salty because of the soy sauce all over the plate and was chopped in very big pieces with few salmon cubes. And the tuna stake meal for 17€ was awful with 3 peace’s of vegetables ,watery peanut sauce and fries? :D At the end we went inside to pay for meal, because nobody was coming outside anymore and there were standing 3 guys all in phones with very poor communication, doesn’t speak German and English. Overall very...
Read moreI love indulging in the Vietnamese cuisine in Berlin during my 1-month stay there, but this one was - surprisingly - the weakest of approximately half a dozen Vietnamese restaurants I've been to. Great anesthetics throughout the store, a delicious mango mocktail - the expectations were high for the starter salad I ordered. Only to receive some vegetables drenched in too much soy sauce. After the disappointing start my main of choice didn't save the night - the Udon noodles with meat replacement were lacking flavour, so I had to ask the waitress for soy sauce to finish my meal... First too much, then too little... In other cities this could've been a 4-star experience, but the high level of Asian restaurants in Berlin really doesn't allow slip-ups like this, I...
