Espresso House — Restaurant in Berlin

I'm new to Berlin and I was actually excited to try this place out, the atmosphere and decor looked chill and inviting, the drink and food selection looked varied and yummy too. Especially for us non coffee drinkers :)

I ordered a Matcha Vanilla Latte and told them I was eating in and not takeaway. Waited over 30mins for my Matcha, glanced over at the workers to see one ready to clock off and one just vibing on his headphones on his phone. Wondered if they had forgotten my order. Saw the guy who took my order look over at me without any drinks and proceeded to leave. I walked up to the counter 10mins later and asked about my order, the guy asked if I was sitting outside or wanted my drinks to go, I said, "no, I have been sitting just over there". He then grabbed a Matcha Latte from behind him on the bench and gave it to me... I don't know how long it had been sitting there, no clue if I was supposed to come and collect it, but there was no indication or call out for it at all. Nor was told I should come up for it when it was ready.

For the price of the drinks and the taste, I am not satisfied with my experience at all. It tasted awful like it was packed full of artificial sweetners, struggled to taste the Matcha or any Vanilla, that weird sweet flavour overpowered everything, I couldn't finish it. Disgusting and disappointment all round. Sadly I won't be a...

Hope I just had a bad day with the staff. Should first pay for a Banana_Bread and a coffee almost ten euros. Asked, I was confirmed. I wondered. A colleague drew the employee's attention to the fact that she had charged the cake twice, was immediately corrected. Later we were quite stroppy, chased away in the middle of the conversation outside, because one wanted to close. That can be done differently: more polite and friendly dear. All in all, I found the "service" not particularly nice, certainly not for the prices and the "self-service" character. Please...

Very cozy, nice staff and in terms of ambients nice attention to detail. Almost exactly of what I imagine a typical coffeeshop should look like.

There is a wide range of coffee, tea, cold drinks and Backware to choose from for reasonable prices.

WiFi is for free now. Quick registration and no need to ask the staff. However, they are happy to help you out if you need assistance.

Bathrooms (men) are clean.
