⚠️ Be very careful if you decide to visit this place.
My mother and her friend, both over 60, visited this venue early in the evening today. The restaurant was half empty, with plenty of free tables. As they stood at the entrance, the doorman – at least half their age – looked at them and very rudely asked whether they had a reservation. They replied “no,” and instead of explaining politely, he almost shouted at them that they were not allowed to enter and very aggressively sent them away.
Surprised by this, they checked online afterwards and saw that the restaurant was indeed accepting reservations and that many tables were available. They made a reservation, received confirmation, and decided to return, thinking perhaps this was a new rule. My mother has visited this restaurant many times in the past, so she tried to give the benefit of the doubt.
When they came back with their reservation, the same doorman saw them again and immediately became hostile. He shouted that he had already told them they could not enter and refused to even look at their confirmation. When my mother showed him the reservation proof, he completely lost control, screaming in front of other customers, calling her a liar, and accusing them of trying to trick him. All of this happened in public, humiliating two women old enough to be his own mother.
When my mother asked to speak with the management to understand the reason for such unacceptable behavior, he shouted that he was the management.
This level of unprofessional and hostile behavior is beyond shocking and absolutely unacceptable—especially toward two older women who simply wanted to enjoy a glass of wine on a Wednesday evening. No customer deserves such treatment, and certainly not women of their age, treated with such disrespect and cruelty.
We will not leave this matter unresolved. I expect to hear from the management within three days with an explanation of how such behavior was possible and what measures will be taken. Otherwise, I will take every legal step available under German law to ensure that no employee of this establishment can ever treat customers in such...
Read moreREAD BEFORE YOU GO. This restaurant and the managers that is on the video tried to charge us illegally 15€ per piece for bringing outside food. Here is the story — since we arrived late and the kitchen was already closed, we decided to order a bottle of wine and two cocktails while letting the stuff know in advance that we will get food from outside. Minutes later, the manager that’s on the video, came and started demanding payment of 15£ per piece for the outside food that we ordered. We explained that this is because the kitchen was closed and that we really did not want to leave the restaurant considering that we already ordered a bottle of wine and some cocktails. The manager then started shouting on us and threatened us that if we do not pay 15€ per person for the outside food that we got, he will call the police and get us kicked. He then started shouting in front of all customers to another waiter “get them out” in German (we were non-German) while dialing the police to escort us which was very unnecessary as we have already finished our bottle of wine and the cocktails, and were on our way out. What he should have done is telling us in a nice pleasant manner in English that outside food is not allowed. He failed as a problem solver and a manager in our eyes - a real manager would have handled this differently.
What a shame, really, as we had a reservation for tomorrow during lunch time as we really wanted to try the food. The restaurant’s staff and management needs training and to loosen up their tone with their paying customers as I see other have similar...
Read moreJust a review from a local: my grilled fish was nice, the angus burger totally dry and my gf just ate half of it. Noone even bothered to asked as if all is fine. Even if the plate was then on the outside of the table visible to all the waiters passing buy something is not cool. For starters we had avocado fresh cheese which was good. Bread was too less. We asked for more, waiting 10min, asked again and after another felt 5min were served the bread - they charged us for it. So to say we wanted to have the bill. Just to be able to talk to the waitress she passed by five times before saying 'just a moment' obviously having not to carry anything. When we were able to speak to her it took her another 5min to come over to be able to pay. I told her about the burger and instead of just saying I am sorry for that can I offer you something she just said we should have told her before. How when she never even bothered to ask us and now making us feeling akward as it is our fault.
Moreover, when you enter the pathway to the premise the gas station besides smells so bad you don't want to know how this can effect the kitchen. You don't want to come with some close or important and say just pass those gasoline fumes and enjoy then the dinner. Even if it is at the waterfront.
Later at 21 Uhr and onwards the music from the club on the opposite side starts to get annoying. The sound atmosphere is a mess of different styles and songs.
Can't recommend it...
