I have been a regular patron of Birgit for quite some time now, particularly enjoying the inviting atmosphere of the beer garden during the day. I've organized numerous birthday parties here and have recommended it to many friends over the years,

however, my most recent experience has left me incredibly disheartened. My partner, a friend, and I decided to experience the club for the first time during night,

despite a short line and plenty of visible space within the premises, we were inexplicably turned away at the door after a 30-minute wait, the doorman offered no explanation, merely stating, "not today.", we thought he as joking or something,

I am left wondering if our speaking Portuguese or our non-European appearance played a part in this denial? This has created a significant concern about potential discrimination, specially because after us, a group of people (English native speakers) successfully got in to the club,

this was not just an unwelcome situation but an embarrassing one, as loyal customers, we expected better treatment and clear communication, if there were reasons for our denial—like a private event, or other factors—it should have been communicated to us,

I will not be spending my money here in the future or recommending it...

This is a very cool place where to spend a nice evening! It really shows the soul of Berlin at its core. So colorful and unique, with its repurposed carousel, the hollowed up car that now doubles as an archway, app the different angles, nooks and crannies you can enjoy and discover in such a lovely place. The mwnu is essential, but in a good way: few quality things without all the useless buzz. The spirits are of good quality too, no cheap booze. I got a mezcal margarita that was pretty much perfect. We didn't get to eat, but the pizzas looked good too. They also have a Czech beer that looked quite promising, gotta try it next time. Service was also super nice, the ladies serving us could speak both German and English without a problem and they checked on us a couple time to make sure everything was good without getting too pushy. Only rexommendation, make sure to have a valid credit card with you, because due to covid they can't accept cash. Not their fault of course, but good to know if you plan to go there and only bring cash with you. They informed us immediately about this, so it was not a problem. All in all, a pleasant experience that I will purpose to family and friend coming to visit...
