Really loved it here! We slept on an airbnb close by, and got to it by night, so we looked at some recommendations we got to see what's close to us. We got there at around 10-11 pm I think, it was a monday so there were barely people, if at all. We bought some tequila and gin shots, which were 3 and 2 eur each, such prices as the rest of Berlin. Add to that we off-course orderd some beers from the many local craft beers they have amd offer. We got the first IPA on the board which was incredible and cost 6 eur for half a litter, which is a bit bellow average, a red ale which was really good and cost 4 eur for 330 ml, and a fruity beer which only one of the boyz liked, but if you like fruity beers this one is recommended. We had a great time there and spent some time and money so the bartender gave each of us a free shot, and kindly took a picture of us with a camera. The atmoaphere was great, and we had such a good time that when we were at our last night in Berlin we came back just to say goodbye to the place. Very very...
Read moreMy taste buds are still recovering. Dont think ive be craft beered like this in quite some time. The selection and in house knowledge was beyond anything ive experienced in berlin. I am a smoker but the addtion of smoking probably would make the flavour profiles less true to the intended description. Toilets are great. Met an Estonian architect while i was draining the lizard. His banter was minimal. I am still conflicted by his strange advances. Im a man of strong resilience. If you are into craft beer and shaved chests, ding dong lets go. Wranglerstrasse is not where id expect to find an Italian fire stick and hey! Sour is the taste of the hour. The stout certainly won't make you pout! And all the other ales will have you in gails.... Of laughter. Basically, if there is any animal that deserves a shrine it's this wee hedgehog. When i die i wish someone would stuff me that hard....
Read moreThere is always a great selection of beers and the service is friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and they let you try before you buy if you are not sure what you want.
There are probably 15-20 rotated beers available at any one time with my favourite being a walnut and maple syrup stout that is brewed in Berlin and almost coffee like. My only criticism is that the prices are pretty high and as craft beer brewing is in it's relative infancy in Berlin the quality can be variable so do try before you buy to avoid any disappointment.
The bar never gets super busy, mainly due to the prices in such a price sensitive city I guess so you can usually get a seat and there are also a few tables outside for the warmer nights.
I'm very happy to report that the bar is non...
