NEST Schank- und Speisewirtschaft — Restaurant in Berlin

Food is good, service however is very bad! Not customer focused at all: first, waiter screams from behind the bar to our table to ask what we want to drink with the most bad-mood-face there is. He doesn't seem to enjoy his job at all. Second, all the drinks and dishes are almost 'smashed' passive-aggressively on the table. Third, while we - despite these bad customer experiences- we were actually still having a good time and a good (normal) laugh, while drinking our coffee after our diner, we were asked by the waiter if we could be 'less loud' with the argument that our neighbours left because they thought it was too loud. Excuse me, maybe this was just their problem, as others didn't seem to mind?! Nevertheless, the waiters themselves were not less loud than we were (e.g. the screaming from behind the bar to take the order??), so maybe the complaint was towards the restaurant itself. And last but not least; as one of us paid the bill, they actually asked 'do you want money back?'.

Although the food was delicious, I'm never coming to this place again.

One sidenote, only one waiter (with the knot on his head) was really nice! He sat at our table to take our order (which I even find extended service), made jokes and really gave good and normal attention to us. Too bad his colleagues...

The tables outside and the location make this a promising spot but there aren't enough staff for busy weekend morning. I think there were only two waitresses. I went for brunch and it took about twenty minutes for anyone to even come to our table, we immediately asked for coffees and a menu and after 20/25 minutes when these hadn't arrived, I went inside to ask, got my own menus and then one coffee turned up.... It was just OK, not a flat white, just a milky coffee with a bit of foam. If you are into your coffee on Sunday morning you might be disappointed. Later we got the second and then when the food arrived it was just OK as well. I think if the service had been OK, I might have overlooked the quality of coffee and food, but extremely slow service and average food and coffee...

Autumn-Winter Berlin at Nest: Very good coffee and real juice. i love the retro environment. You see English and other latin languages speakers and also the bar have very good music. Good for working on your stuff too.The back area is nice for events. Sometimes is mega full and than we need to be patient. Me and my small kid discovered Nest after being denied
