"I had the pleasure of dining at “Grand Café Saint Germain” a French restaurant in Berlin and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff that made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a touch of sophistication.

The food was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I was particularly impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients used in each dish. The portions were generous, and I was truly impressed by the variety of options on the menu.

We’ve been here a couple of times already, the food has always been good and if you come during the day, the prices for the Tagesmenü are not bad either. Now for the service, sadly I have to admit it’s quite bad. I can’t talk for other generations, but from what we saw today, the other people who seemed older than us were being treated much nicer. So the reality is, they can be nice, but as a younger person you are definitely made to feel like you aren’t welcome to be here. It’s a shame, because so much of the experience of eating somewhere is the atmosphere and how you feel there. We ordered some fries as a side with our dish, they never came, and when we mentioned it, there was never an apology from them just an “ok, I’ll just take it off the bill”. And after paying, the waiter basically threw the bill on the table without even looking at me in the eyes. First time I experienced this style of food. I’m Asian I have few ideas about French food. (Usually I ate touristic French food in French, or street food)

I ordered lobster soup with a scallop. It was amazing to eat them together with the herbs in a single morsel.

I also ordered salmon tartar. It tasted like Japanese food; however, there was a secret ingredient inside that I guess it was a fruit with a spice that worked as a surprise only for some morsels.

My boyfriend ordered octopus. This one is incredible (I have tried). As a Thai, I’m familiar with complex flavors in a single dish and usually European food is not complex at all. This one consists of many flavors, more importantly, it’s tasty.

I ordered the crape on fires as a dessert. Again it is amazing eating all components in one morsel including the fresh mints.
