PHO NGUYEN 68 — Restaurant in Berlin

[Be careful!! 😡for people with food allergy!]😡

I am writing for my friend who’s suffering from serious nut allergy reaction now, and the restaurant is not responding!!!

He ordered takeaway from here and clearly „specified that he can’t eat nuts“! the restaurant claimed that there’s no nuts in the dish, however after a few bites he started to have reaction, we noticed that there’s nuts in the dish as picture shown!

He called the restaurant wanting to know which nut is that, so he knows how to cope with it, the restaurant did the following,

First call, hung up on him Second call, they said that they only speak Vietnamese, “No German, No English!” Lastly they said that “the restaurant is closing so they are not responding anything.” The end.

How ridiculous this is for a restaurant in Berlin that don’t speak German or English, and refuse to answer questions about its ingredients. And most importantly, “do not care about food allergy” at all! This is very serious for people who can actually die from your food. I can’t believe that’s how a restaurant reacts to this matter.

I sincerely hope that the restaurant will learn to pay more attention to food allergy requests. My friend is too weak to do anything now so I’m writing to call awareness! This should not happen to any other...

21:00 2-5-2023 (the second of may) The door was a bit strange to me an my family and the amazing Vietnamese senses came to me. We went to sit down and we ordered. We waited a couple second and it was already done. It wasn't very busy and it was a chill vibe. The waiter was very nice. The food was amazing, due to the sweet, spicy and salty tastes. These made the vegetables easy to eat. Even the children are it with big smiles.(number 72). During the waiting, a wholesome event happened. The waiter noticed that another group of guests were bidding, so he waited. After they were done, he delivered their food.

A short time after we ordered our desserts, we got it. Mine was really interesting. Baked vanille ice? It was really a great experience and it was a chill place with great food and great staff....

Ordered a delivery, waited almost an hour for both Pho soup containers to arrive leaking and partially empty. Pho arrived without as much as a piece of lime or a little chili pepper. Summer rolls arrived with the wrong sauce and the rice paper was hard at the ends.

I don't usually leave reviews like these, but given that they managed to screw up every single part of the meal. And given they are surrounded by dozens of other Vietnamese restaurants on the same street - Seems like they just don't care... Your safe bet is to probably order from...
