horrible service , rude staff.
Unfortunately do not have a picture as my phone ran out of battery.
Dear fellow foodies,
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hummus & Friends in Berlin, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the decor had a cozy and intimate feel.
Now let's talk about the food! The star of the show, of course, was the hummus. It was simply divine - rich, creamy, and bursting with flavour. I also tried the falafel and the hummus, both of which were excellent. Everything on the menu was freshly made with high-quality ingredients, and it really showed in the taste.
But what really set this restaurant apart was the attention to detail. From the plating of the dishes to the little touches like fresh herbs and spices, every element was thoughtfully executed. It's clear that the team at Hummus & Friends take great pride in their work, and it really shows in the finished product.
Overall, I can't recommend Hummus & Friends highly enough. Whether you're a die-hard hummus fan or just looking for a delicious and memorable meal, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing...
Read moreThe staff are super nice, very warm and attentive, the food get’s ready very soon and the bread is really fresh. They have an innovative vegan menu and the Avocado hummus is such a delight in a hot summer day. However I have three critical feedback on the menus: -They don’t have falafel which limits the menu, and a warm meal on the table can be missing in many months. -The boiled egg on the Special hummus is not freshly made, they must be boiling them in bulk hours ago. Around the egg yolk is all black, unilaterally in all of the photos you can see this, it means it is the kitchen process not to offer fresh eggs, which is not a stellar decision by the owners. There is no chance to order the egg freshly boiled which means the kitchen is not flexible at all. -Another uncool design decision is to pour water in the middle of the Hummus plate instead of olive oil! Who does that? Yes this makes the meal lighter, and yes, much cheaper, but takes the original taste and aroma of a good olive oil out of the eating experience. And also from UX perspective, one has to run around the dish chasing the parts of Hummus that are floating on the...
Read moreThis place has gone downhill. I remember it being much better only 2-3 years ago.
The hummus is good but the portions seem to have shrunk a lot over the last couple of years, and in any case, the prices have gone up very steeply, which you can see yourself by looking at older menus in the pictures here on Google.
They also don't seem to think their meals through really. They strangely serve a massive bowl of hummus with only a single piece of pita bread. It's just not enough bread so you will definitely have to ask for more if you don't want to eat hummus with a spoon. Similarly, if you order the cauliflower, they give you a massive dry baked cauliflower with a tiny side dish of tahini. Like enough tahini to enjoy with two bites of cauliflower. Again, you will have to ask for more. Why don't they simply serve meals with proportionate amounts of the necessary ingredients in the first place?
The service was pretty slow at the start. All of the staff were friendly except for one waiter who was quite rude.
Finally, when we asked for a bill, they asked if it was okay if they printed other items on it for some reason, which seemed...
