Hello Goodnight. I have eaten recently (an hour ago) in one of their establishments, specifically in Berlin at Schönhauser Allee 12, 10119 Berlin. We called two days ago to book for 20 people, when we arrive it is that they have forgotten the reservation, luckily there were not many people and 20 minutes later we got to sit down to dinner. The dinner was fine and of good quality but the service was a disaster; the waitresses were talking all the time between them and to ask for drinks we had to get up from the table several times, 3 different waitresses came and they did not find out what had been ordered and to top it off we only ordered 3 tiramisus and a chocolate mousse, They come and tell us that there is only one normal tiramisu and the rest are strawberry, that if we did not care, we said no and finally we ordered one strawberry, one normal and one mousse. The normal tiramisu never appeared and we did not complain because we were not so hungry either. The problem came at the time of the account, the tiramisu had pointed us and his waitress said that she had served it, something uncertain, it did not serve and after having left a good tip between all, the waitress forced us to pay the tiramisu that never They had served us. For not making a scandal and continue celebrating (because it was the birthday of one of us) we paid, but not without protest. The waitresses were rude, unprofessional, antipathetic, unpleasant, inept and incompetent. The quality of the food was incredibly good and yet it has lost 20 regular customers for this terrible service. Without more to add I hope for your interests to take action on the matter.
Thank you...
Read moreWe have lived in Berlin for over a decade and have been loyal patrons of Due continuously. Despite the emergence of many new fancy pizza spots—the ubiquitous Neapolitan and the unbearable Detroit Deep Dish—Due remains a favorite oasis for us. I know some of my friends have had different experiences; they've mentioned issues with the pizza and service, and sometimes find the place too loud and crowded. However, we have a different view. We adore the pizza, especially the Tonne e Cipolla, the Montanara, and the Buongustaio. We also love starting with Polenta with Gorgonzola, or the Ham with Onions. The service here has a familial touch, likely because many of the staff have been here for years. True, there are times when the wait might be long, or the pizza isn't consistently perfect—sometimes it’s even half burnt. But for us, perfection lies elsewhere—not in flawless execution every time, but in the atmosphere, the familiar interactions with the staff, and the heart of the place, which resonates with us deeply. On a typical early Sunday evening, the place is wonderfully lively, full of families and kids running around, adding to its charm. Amidst the bustling gastronomy scene, which sees new concepts constantly coming and going, there's something refreshing about a place like Due that appreciates the beauty in simplicity. While I enjoy refined, Michelin-starred dining, I also deeply value the simple, the honest. Due Forni exemplifies this for us, and I believe it offers a meaningful experience that goes beyond...
Read moreWe were recommended from our 4-star hotel. We traveled out of the area by taxi to get there. Our waiter Stephano was delightful and recommended 2 pizzas. Service was smooth and we tucked into our dinner. The venue has a punk vibe with graffiti all over the walls … we chatted to our waiter about the graffiti and he encouraged us to make our own mark on the walls - even providing a felt tip pen. As we planned what and where to write we left our table for a few moments. We were approached by a man (Duty Manager) who told us not to write on the walls. We asked why and explained we’d been encouraged to … he then became very hostile - even berating us like young children to “Go back to our seats”. We of course would never have dreamt of writing on a wall … we are in our 50s. However we are also not use to being treated like badly behaved children when we got out for dinner. We asked him to change his manner with us and he became agitated and stressed … stating “the customer is not always right” … he then protested (despite having engaged perfectly with us in the minutes before) that he had “poor English and didn’t understand”. To say this was obnoxious is an understatement, Another member of staff came over and apologised for his behaviour - in truth this man should not work in the service...
