Café Chagall — Restaurant in Berlin

The smaller Bar/Cafe to the left is like a step back to the 90's in Berlin. It is an enchanted space lit almost entirely by candles with said soot having left its mark on walls and ceilings for what looks like a century. There is a back room behind the toilets which acts as a smokers space and there is also a fireplace in here, although I have never seen it used. I have used the terrace in the warmer months (April - October) and it is popular. Easy to get to, just outside Senefelderplatz U-Bahn Exit (south). I can deal with the 73 minutes waitingtime for my food order because I will take in consideration that the EM match Italy - Belgium was showing and I can only guess that the kitchen was overwhelmed as the place was packed.

Nevertheless, when I do wait for 73 minutes and still get cold fries and a more than dead burger patty I am dissatisfied.

The bun lost all it's integrity and became like glue once chewing and ended up sticking to my gum.

I am sorry but there's nothing good I can write about my visit. I know when a football match is going on, everybody's working full on, BUT the match dates are fixed and they could have act accordingly.

They have cool, chill vibes in older building, DELICIOUS food, very accommodating to allergies (dairy and gluten), friendly & patient service, quick seating, fast & attentive service and food preparation, great food presentation, big portions for the price, and wide menu options.

This place checked all of the boxes for us. Our waitress, Lourdes, did a great job and was very patient & attentive to the details of our order and extra requests. She is very professional & helpful!
