8MM — Restaurant in Berlin

Went here on what I call a “solo mish”… I go to a bar and pretend to be someone I’m not. In appearance, demeanor, gestures. Ideally someone approaches me (which in this case, did not happen) and I try to maintain my facade for as long as I can. In 2004 when I was at the CC Club in Minneapolis this met its logical end when I woke up in the soft cotton shoals of a University of Minnesota students’ dorm room. Could’ve gone worse. We went to this pub twice during our 4-days stay in Berlin. Great music selection (there was a Kraut/Psychedelic Rock dj set) and atmosphere. Unfortunately, the second time we went we got rejected on the door because of a private party taking place indoor, which was definitely a let down as this wasn’t signaled on social medias and we wasted our night going there for nothing. The place is very pleasant, the music selection is excellent, and it's great that you can pay by card, but apparently not all bartenders agree. One barman allowed me to pay for two beers with my card (€7), but the short barman wouldn't let me pay for a Negroni (€9) with my card. It was really annoying and unpleasant dealing with the short barman. He was very arrogant, pretending to be nice. Be consistent with card payments, or fire...
