We had decided to buy our engagement rings in Berlin and had checked out a few places beforehand on the internet. The task ahead made us nervous but the moment we walked in, we felt at ease. This was the first shop on our list.

The kindness and friendliness made us feel comfortable and just like somebody described here in earlier reviews, the whole situation felt like talking among friends rather than transactional. It took just few minutes for the talented man to work out our personalities and what could be the thing we’re looking for. We were impressed we could touch the rings ourselves to find out in peace which ones are the perfect rings for us. As if he knew the rings have their own minds and the right one will pick me instead of me picking one. Makes no sense? It will once you’re there. It’s just you and the rings and all the time and peace in the world to pick the piece of jewellery you intend to spend the rest of your life with.

His Perspective: Not knowing anything about rings, I had a great experience finding the perfect ring for my now fiancé. The website is definitely one of the better ones so I was able to find a bunch of rings that looked great. The experience in the store was very welcoming. I just walked in and talked about what I had in mind. Finding the ring was actually very fast, but then we talked for a while about politics :) I can 100% recommend Antique Jewellery.

Her Perspective: Receiving this ring (and the proposal that came with it) was perfect. It is truly everything I have ever wanted, and absolutely perfect for me. I have always had my heart set on a vintage ruby and when I put it on it was everything I have ever imagined. Although I wasn't involved in the shopping part of the process, this store seems to have something for everyone. We took it in to get sized today as it was a little big and I was expecting to wait a few weeks without it (I am very excited to be able to wear it), but found out it will already be ready tomorrow!
