Konsulat — Restaurant in Berlin

I recently celebrated my girlfriend's birthday at Le Consulat in Berlin, and it was truly a delightful experience. This charming restaurant offers authentic French cuisine that exceeded all of our expectations.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the staff and shown to our table. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a special occasion like a birthday celebration. The decor was elegant and complemented the French theme of the restaurant beautifully.

Leider leider passen die Rezensionen nicht zu unserer einzigen Erfahrung im Restaurant. Wir waren zum Morgenpost Menü dort und das Essen war handwerklich korrekt aber langweilig. Außer Salz und Pfeffer passierte nichts spannendes auf dem Teller. Die paar Produkte wurden wenig raffiniert eingesetzt. Wenig Aromenvielfalt auf dem Teller. Keine Balance zwischen Geschmäckern und Konsistenten. Gut hat keine Michelin Empfehlung, aber doch eher höhere Preise. Als Eingang Rote Bete als Scheibe und Creme (Gericht nannte sich Pain Perdu. Gut, eine runder Ausstich eines trockenen Weisbrotes fand sich auf dem Teller, aber ansonst hatten die Namen nichts mit der eigentlich gemeinten Speise zu tun. Könnte prinzipiell spannend sein, war es leider nicht). Geschmacklich flach. Salade Niçoise bestand überwiegend aus gekochten Kartoffeln. Nicht kalt, nicht warm und leider sonst außer Kartoffel wenig Geschmack. Erbsensuppe mit einer ohne Gewürze im Ofen gegarten Zucchini. Auch weder kalt noch warm. So zog es sich von Gericht zu Gericht. Man könnte sagen puristischer Stil aber ohne viel Aromen. Wir konnten die Intention und den Stil der Küche nicht entschlüsseln und rätseln bis heute. Vielleicht gibt es eine Auflösung? Getränke wurden leider falsch berechnet und uns zunächst widersprochen als wir dies anmerkten. Komische Reaktion auf eine freundliche Nachfrage direkt mit dem Gegenteil zu antworten. Schade, ich glaube ihr könnt es eigentlich besser. Aber an dem Abend schien es nicht so zu laufen. Viel...
