Not the first time I come here but this restaurant keeps getting better and better ! The food is French, perfectly cooked and very well presented. The service is fabulous and the atmosphere is calm, sophisticated, elegant and glamorous. From the Isabelle Huppert pics on the wall to the fantastically charming manner in which Philippe and Miki serve the guests this place is fabulous ! La Cocotte used to be one of our favorite haunts. We've visited it again after a few years' break. While the interior decor remained unchanged, and the service was as friendly and competent as ever, the food wasn't quite the same. Escargot were Ok, but a little papery and over-salted. The moules au roquefort were Ok again, but overcooked and a little lifeless. On the other hand, the piglet in a pot and coq au vin were rather good, and the apple tarts were absolutely delicious. Philippe is the heart and soul of this place. When he is cooking and not serving and disappearing it’s not the same experience;( we missed him dearly yesterday. Service was still nice. Heating and toilets didn’t work. That didn’t bother us . Loved the potatoe gratin- no sharing with that - ordered four- one for each of us. Wine was excellent, creme brûlée the best!
