Lagalante — Restaurant in Berlin

I wanted to have catering for a birthday I was celebrating at home together with a friend, and he mentioned that the owner Antonio of the restaurant Lagalante, where we love to eat, also does catering. We ordered different buffet dishes for a total of 25 people that could also be consumed cold:

Pulpo (Squid) salad with string beans and potato Caponata Suppli Cacio e Pepe style Two chicken potato dishes (one with wings, one with drumsticks) Mousse au Chocolat (pre-portioned)

Antonio was very forthcoming in discussing a wide array of meal options in terms of budget, size and style (including vegetarian & gluten-free) and made great recommendations. This restaurant is the definition of very good looking dishes where the taste is far from the expected. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but given the price and the presentation of the food, you're expecting something from the next level which is not true. I had some risotto that could be better cooked and the overall taste was disappointing. Also had some green pasta that just tasted like spinach and had nothing else to balance it. It's extremely rare in Berlin to find a traditional Italian that is modern, fresh and incredibly tasteful. Lagalante has been one of my favourite restaurants in Berlin for some time and has been providing a service and menu that is rarely found in such a big city. The food is wonderful blend of traditional meets modern kitchen with portion size perfect and everything to tickle your taste buds.
