Maharaja — Restaurant in Berlin

The first time I came here they gave me the best yogi tea I've had in the area. Second time it was not as good but still enjoyable. As per the food, everything is delicious: the soups, the vegetarian dishes, the chicken... The mutton flavor comes a bit strong which I love, some people may want to go for something milder. I tried options on levels 1 and 2 of "scharf". They are tasty and for sure spicy for the normal local taste. Pretty sure even at level 3 it will still need some extra spicy sauce, which most likely they will have around and gladly provide because the service is extremely nice and deserve high praise. This is truly the best Indian restaurant in Schöneberg! The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff is very polite and respectful—I had a great experience every time I visited.

Some people have mentioned negative things about the staff, but honestly, I never experienced anything like that. In fact, they were so kind that they even gave me a mango lassi for free as a nice gesture.

These guys are real dicks.

I should have listened to my intuition that told me not to go in when a rude worker rushed past me while entering the restaurant, but my roommate's butter chicken takeout from last week was so good that I went in, anyways.

Mine, unfortunately still had pieces of bone/tendon attached to the chicken. After 5 pieces, I decided to return it. Initially they denied the existence of said bones (which I made sure to leave in the container as proof) and then the cook claimed that one should expect that with meat (which, if I pay 8,50€ for in a restaurant, I definitely don't). So, maybe it was a mistake which they wanted to deny, or that they think chicken is supposed to be that way, but in any case my food was bad and their customer service will ensure that I never go back. Mein Butter Chicken zu mitnehmen (was letzes Mal gut war) hat leider Knochen und Knorbel noch dazu. Nach 5 Stücke habe ich es zurück genommen, nur dass die Mitarbeiter die Existence von Knochen ablehen könnten (was noch in die Packung war). Dann hat der Koch auch mit mir behauptet, dass ich dass erwarten soll. Ich habe auch gesagt, dass wann ich 8,50€ beim Restaurant zahle erwarte ich es nicht. Die wollten meine Meinung aber nicht. Aber zum Glück (dank das Internet) kann meine Meinung mit euch teilen. Ich werde nie nochmal hin, und würde es auch Ihnen empfehlen...
