English and Slovak (below) review.
A Czech cafeteria, located near the Berlin City Centre, just two stops by tram from Alexanderplatz. A very nice, minimalistic cafe with a calm and pleasant atmosphere. You will be served by very nice and friendly staff who speak German and Czech (maybe English as well). You can see how happy the staff is, which creates a very friendly atmosphere in the cafe. You can buy here a delicious homemade soup, various pies and desserts typical for Czech and Slovak republic, such as 'medovnik, pernik, vetrnik, rakvicka' but also a cheesecake and more. Every Thursday you will find here 'buchta' which is a czech kind of a baked pie filled with a jam. You will find here among a good coffee also a great selection of drinks such as legendary 'Kofola' (Czechoslovak version of Coca-Cola but much better), Vinea or Czech bier (also non-alcoholic). In front of the entrance, you will find beautiful flowers which you can also buy here. The interior of the cafe is minimalistic, with a small pieces of drawings which are really very cute and minimalistic :). You will also find inside a few tables and chairs, which cannot be used by guests due to current government restrictions. But you can enjoy your food and drinks outside as the cafe is situated at the old small cemetery, where you can be at least for a few minutes away from the noise of the city. There is also a toilette outside. The staff will give you the key. Nonna Cafe & Co is a place, where I left a piece of my heart the second I entered the cafeteria and where I will be coming back again and again. Not only for amazing soup, good coffee or, probably, the best pies and desserts in the city, but also for the great energy and to make my mood and day better. I definitely recommend visiting the Nonna to everyone! Also if you are in Berlin for food tourism you should definitely try it! Česká kaviareň v blízkosti centra Berlína, iba dve zastávky električkou z Alexanderplatz. Príjemný, minimalistický podnik s veľmi kľudnou a príjemnou atmosférou. Read moreI actually love this place, especially the garden side in the cemetery is super nice and relaxing. However, I find it very weird that they charge you for extra 70 cents for the iced version of the coffee you order. I asked them specifically how they would prepare an iced flat white; and one of the baristas explained to me the flat white preparing procedure with an added “on ice”. So, they basically charge you for 70 cents for a few ice cubes for no special preparation. That’s...
Read moreI’ve been to this cafe a few times and it has steadily increased the food offerings to go with the delicious coffee. The flowers for sale is also a lovely touch. They are dog friendly and have a small indoor seating along with their back garden.
The reason I finally got around to reviewing was the customer service today when I mistakenly dropped my pastry and they replaced it right away. They have friendly and nice service plus they take card! Highly recommend...
